Zeroscillator Test
YouTube Uploaded by JohnLRice on Feb 14, 2012
"This video is definitely just for modular synth users, in particular for people who have or are interested in getting a Cyndustries Zeroscillator, meaning this is long and geeky with no entertainment value, folks! ;-)"

VALENTINE'S TEASER - THE SMASHERS

"MUSIC - THE SMASHERS"
Features the Percussa AudioCubes.
" The story behind this video started one year ago. We were looking for a way to thank all the girls who’ve been supporting us even when we were djing in the smallest bedroom you can imagine. As kind of a “thank you”, we came up with this idea to make the valentine’s mix 2011 for our biggest supporters :-)
The mix of last year was recorded very cheaply by just fading one youtube video in and the other one out ;) . The last couple of months we got to play in clubs and our djing skills evolved a lot. We came to the point where we decided we wanted to make our performance more unique than the one we had. That’s how we decided to use the Percussa AudioCubes for our gigs together with Deckadance, professional DJ software from Image-Line.
It is so much fun when one person is using the Percussa AudioCubes for looping and mixing effects while the other one is looking in the tracklist for the next song, or the other way around. When using the Percussa AudioCubes together with Deckadance we experienced an easyness in djing we never had before. Also, it also looks outstanding when two guys are waving in front of two light-emitting cubes on stage ;)
So, we were talking this years valentine’s mix, and we somehow ended up in my bathroom recording this video as teaser for this years mix. We made this video just for fun, but in the end we are overwhelmed by the positive response we got for this video ;) Anyway, the main thing why we did is to to thank all our friends for supporting us all the way so far…"
Jeff Beck vs Rachmaninoff on the Haken Continuum Fingerboard played by Rob Schwimmer
YouTube Uploaded by 5SunkenHeights5 on Nov 10, 2011
Rachmaninoff a la Jeff Beck---This is just one sort of thing that can be done on the incredible Haken Continuum! A tip of the iceberg! I'm a novice on it but it's amazing! So intuitive and organic! Anyway... I've always loved the great guitarists of the 60's--Hendrix, Beck, Clapton, Feiten, etc. As a keyboard player I envied their expressive options--vibrato, note bending, sustain, etc. That's one of the reasons I became a theremin player... (Fact check: I was an electric guitarist throughout junior high and high school doing my best to Hendrix, Clapton, Beck so I do understand playing in that style... Not good enough though: I decided I would give myself 2 weeks of intense practicing and if I wasn't as good as Hendrix or John McLaughlin after 2 weeks, I would quit. Two weeks came--I quit.) I had no real interest in doing this sort of thing on the Continuum but one day I plugged it into my Glenn Wyllie's Shin-Ei Superfuzz (http://www.mindspring.com/~wylo/)
and... ta dah! Big fun! I play this piece on piano (Rachmaninoff's Etude tableau in Ebm op39 #5) and thought I'd see how it went... As I said I'm definitely still a novice and it's far from perfect... but I like it!
(For Continuum players this was done without Rounding)
PS--For more hot Continuum action please be sure to check out their website at hakenaudio.com/ and also be sure to take a look at Edmund Eagan's Continuum work-- He works with Lippold Haken in developing and designing sounds for it and has an inside and out understanding of the instruments sounds and playing modes..."

The ArcaMIDI
YouTube Uploaded by Hatchinatore on Apr 25, 2010
"My name is Alex . (Hatchinatore@gmail.com) and this is my award-winning instrument, ArcaMIDI. The ArcaMIDI itself is a computer controlled instrument. essentially it encases a laptop, and with help from an iphone, and a Wii remote's electronics, plus a bit of custom circuitry, it relays messages to the laptop, for the laptop to process with an end goal of producing music. On the protocol side, the laptop is relayed OSC routings and messages from both the Wii remote and the iphone. the iphone uses an application called Mrmr to relay these messages, and is able to have custom interfaces. combined with jailbreaking, i replaced images for the buttons in the application to make it look more of a part of my instrument. on my laptop, i am running mac OSX 10.6. my iphone connects to my laptop via wifi, and to minimize the interference, i host a network with its own password from my laptop to the phone, so only i can connect, and it will work anywhere I am. the Wii remote connects through bluetooth directly to the program osculator where both messages from the Wii remote and iphone are interpreted. the commands are then transferred into midi events, and they are sent to ableton live, where the magic takes place. with my iphone i am able to change to preset instruments on the fly, as well as control volume levels, wether or not it is the only instrument playing, muting and effects the Wii remote hardware is connected to buttons spread throughout. the note board plays notes and or chords on whatever the selected instrument is. those sounds can be modulated with the joystick. there are 13 buttons which includes a full octave of notes, plus an extra note. when a button is pressed, a backlight led lights up. on the right near the joystick, there are also two strumbar-like elements, the one closest to the noteboard controls the key. i it is pressed upward, the entire noteboard moves up a half step in key, and downward the same. on the far strumbar is octave control. as longs as the strumbar is held downward, the entire noteboard shifts exactly one octave downward, and up shifts higher. the remaining three buttons are for looping control. combine on the fly instrument changing with looping, and you get a one man, one instrument band. the user can start by playing a drum loop, presses the loop button to start the loop, and once again to end it. that loop plays continuously until it is stopped by the controls. the user can then switch to rhythm guitar, and if the want to loop that instrument on top of the previous track, they only have to press the recording button once. the code already recognizes how many bars the previous instrument recorded based on time and beat, and is able to make the next recording last exactly as long, double, half, or whatever the user decides the length to be. once multiple instruments are playing, they can be muted or soloed individually.
If anyone wishes to know more, or would like to contact me direct, I am always free to talk, and i am always in need and want to pursue new opportunities. please feel free to contact me at once again: Hatchinatore@gmail.com"
