Quad sequencer

YouTube Uploaded by MongoSynth on Feb 12, 2012

"My quad Sequencer is alive! This is 4 copies of the SympleSEQ from hex inverter.net with a custom panel from re:Synthesis. I ordered the Sequencer kits at different times, so the more astute viewers may notice something odd about the LEDs on panel"

No audio above, just the blinky light show. Audio below.

Sequencer madness

"This patch features the quad sequencer by Hexinverter.net working with the 16 step sequencer by musicfromouterspace.com. The sequencers are driving a CGS VCO into a Clee LoPass gate"

"Here's a patch featuring the Ian Fritz Chaotica module. LFOs are modulating the rate and offset."

"This sequencer is a very capable 8/16-step analog + midi sequencer with all the modern bells and whistles, but is impressively small, portable, and light compared to similar vintage and modern sequencers. The multitude of knobs and switches makes it very playable. The wood side panels add a nice touch and the unit feels very solidly built. I haven't checked for recent firmware updates, but features like defining your own pitch/voltage scales are still being developed. Some bidders may be concerned with the brightness of the blue LEDS, but I've had no problems with them. They're very easy on the eyes, as opposed to other blue LEDS I've seen. I've used this sequencer with both a Eurorack modular synth and a Korg MS-20, and had great results with both.

To paraphrase the manufacturer's description, the Dark Time sequencer has the following features:
- two rows with 8 controls each
- several operating modes:
- several running directions:
- several voltage / tuning ranges: 1V, 2V, 5V (corresponding to 1/2/5 octaves)
- gate voltage 0/+5V
- quantization on/off/custom scale
- transpose via switch (-1/0/+1 octave), Midi/USB or external CV input
- timing control (internal clock, external USB/Midi, or external analog clock), selected by a three position switch:
- analog interface for CV/gate/clock/Start-Stop (inputs and outputs, 3.5 mm mini-jack sockets)"

"Akai AX 60 Programmable Polyphonic Analog Synthesizer. This keyboard is an Analog Beast from the 1980's, It has MIDI In, Out and Thru along with Arpeggio sync/clock input. It also has a unique sampler input that allows you to plug in the AKAI S612(among others) and run the samples through the filters, VCA and BBD Chorus. This is a CEM based VCO/VCA machine, with some very harsh/wild sounding filters."
