Zero-G Modular Beats Sound Designer Roger Grønberg

Zero-G Modular Beats Sound Designer Roger Grønberg and his modular system via Time + Space where you'll find a full interview.

"All sounds are made using only oscillators and noise as the sound source. No drums, drum machines, no samples. I have stayed clear of multipurpose modules and “drum modules”. The starting point is oscillators, noise, filters and ADSR. Special modules include BBD delays (analog delay based on the bucket brigade chip), frequency shifter (translates every signal feed into it by the same amount of Hz), wave shapers (offset, clipping, overdrive) and uncertainty modules as modulators."

Zeitdehner's Mos-Lab & Hordijk Modular System

via Zeitdehner where you'll find more pics and additional details.

"I settled for a six module combination to start with : a Rungler, a Triple LF-VCO, two OSC HRM, a Triple Input Filter and a Dual Fader. This little set of modules is already very powerful all by itself and contains no less than 7 VCOs, 3 VCFs and 5 VCAs (without counting the numerous CV controls with attenuators) !

Later on I will add another row of Hordijk modules to eventually get an instrument consisting of two rows of 12 MU each of Mos-Lab modules and two rows of 12 MU each of Hordijk modules. This is still quite "reasonable" in terms of size and cost..."

"Sequential Circuits Studio 440 up for grabs. It's hard to say when, or if, you will ever see another one of these in such great condition. This has the latest OS and fully functioning SCSI port. It also has new trigger pads and the resonance mod. This mod allows you control resonance with the "pan" knob an it can be sequenced as well. This unit is fully functional and in great shape. The only thing that could make it better is if the backlight was replaced, but it is still readable as is, just dim."
