"Inspection of the infamous, internal blue NiCad battery (on the KLM-367 circuit board) shows no leakage, no circuit damage, and no readily visible corrosion (see pix). This battery is viable and functioning."

If that is the original battery, it should probably be replaced sooner than latter. See this site for more info.
