KORG Mono/Poly & Chinese Violin. All KORG Mono/Poly track below.
"1.76 of 9th states extract from Mathius Shadow-Sky's 2012 pilot solo performance in the fog live at the Ring Theater, mixing an analogue synthesizer from the 80s with a Chinese violin called jinghu (used in Pekinese opera to double singing voices) gives: 'Music with No Name' as invisible music in lightness. The function of the fog is to play with our conditioned perceptions inside of the uncallable unnamed music (avoiding strong stereotypes): does it?

... » Mathius Shadow-Sky

"ASSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZ is a live act given by Myster Shadow-Sky during his illness in November 2010 with a solo analogue synthesizer (the Korg MonoPoly). The music as "Imperfect Or Infected Life" created in 1999 is to be mixed with other music and sounds. An "incomplete music to mix with whatever for high powered dance". Maestro Ring Modulator

on Craigslist Vancouver
"The Maestro Ring Modulator was the first commercially available stand alone ring mod. This unit is in fantastic cosmetic shape, and sounds great. Expression pedal inputs allow for sweepable foot control of the pitch and rate (roland ev 5 works fine with this unit)."

Echophon: VC no-input mixing from Pete Shambler on Vimeo.
Using an Echophon, Dr. Octature and Noisering to create a voltage-controlled feedback system similar to a no-input mixing channel.
Doc Oc is patched into the Echophon's external feedback loop. The Noisering's 1 and 2 outs are patched to the 1v/oct* and Q CV ins on the Octature. A high enough resonance will cause the filter to oscillate. The recirculating echos give the whole thing a nice ghostly quality.
This is a handy patch to have on hand if you ever find yourself having to do background music for a late night, Creature Feature type show on public access.

COMPLETE Dubreq PianoMate
via this auction
"Made in the 1970s in England by Dubreq, who also made the Stylophone, it's an add-on sound expander for a piano or any type of keyboard instrument.
The system consists of a small amplifier with built-in tone generators, a swell / volume pedal, and two sensor bars that just sit on the keyboard of a piano or similar instrument. Nothing actually gets attached to the piano, gravity hold the sensors in place. When the piano key is struck, the sensor touching that key drops down and the tone generator is triggered.
It sounds a lot like a Farfisa organ, and the amp gets pretty loud but you probably can't gig with it. This is more of a curiosity than a real professional instrument, but it is very cool if you're into kitschy and funky keyboard gear"

The Return of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop as Virtual Institution

via Atomic Shadow spotted on Wired
"According to the Workshop's site: 'in 2012 as part of thespace.org, an innovative new digital arts media service created in joint partnership between the BBC and the arts council the radiophonic workshop is being reborn'.
It continues: 'Instead of being confined to rooms full of equipment in Maida Vale studios in London, the new Radiophonic Workshop will instead be a virtual institution, visibly manifested as an online portal and forum for discussion around the challenges of creating new sounds in a world saturated in innovative music technology but lacklustre in terms of actual original output. We will primarily bring together two key disciplines: music composition and software design, and as such its members will be drawn from the cutting edge of both.'"
