"Pan Sonic + Carl Michael von Hausswolff + Erkki Kurenniemi -- live @ Kiasma theatre, Helsinki, Finland 21-10-2002.

The concert features the Finnish electronica formation, Pan Sonic [aka Panasonic], playing on original DIMI instruments. The nucleus of the Sähkö label in the 1990s [the mother of all Scandinavian techno outprints], but robbed of a letter in their name since 1997 as a result of legal action taken by a Japanese electronics group, Mika Vainio and Ilpo Väisänen, who make up Pan Sonic, exemplify better than anyone else the raw and very individual style of electronica made in Finland. Having recently performed with artists such as Peaches and Chicks On Speed, the Pan Sonics are supported at this concert by the Swedish sound artist, Carl Michael von Hausswolff, and Erkki Kurenniemi himself as they play instruments such as the DIMI saxophone."

The Keytar Master

Dave, author of The Packrat and master of umop.com gets dethroned by the mother-in-law. With the Tron keytar no less.

"Mary Jane lives very much up to her name this time around. Watch what happens when she eats a forbidden, pharmaceutically enhanced brownie! It's mind-expanding goodness (with the return of the keytar!) in this diagonally time-traveling episode."

Be sure to see this post on the controversy behind the Blue Lantern ZTVCO. I haven't heard anything since that post. You can hear a demo of the Ian Fritz Through Zero VCO in this post.

"HERE'S A SUPER NEAT VNTG BALDWIN EARLY MODEL ""FUN MACHINE"" SYNTHESIZER OR ELECTRIC KEYBOARD/ORGAN. IT HAS A LIGHT UP DISPLAY THAT ALL WORKS GREAT, AS WELL AS MANY DIFFERENT OPTIONS FOR SOUNDS AND TONES. IT ALSO HAS A VIBRATO AND BUILT IN DRUM MACHINE. IT HAS SOME REALY FUNKY WAVEY SOUNDS AND EFFECTS. I TRIED IT OUT AND ITS WORKING WELL. THERE IS SOME CLOTH COVER WEAR AND TEAR PROBABLY FROM A CAT BUT THAT COULD BE EASILY REPLACED. THIS MACHINE IS ALL ORIGINAL AS FAR AS I CAN TELL BUT I'M NOT AN EXPERT ON ELECTRONICS OR KEYBOARDS SO PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS BEFORE BIDDING I TRIED TO DO SOME RESEARCH BUT FOUND NONE ON THE WEB. THIS COULD BE RARE. LOCAL PICK UP ONLY, CAN DELIVER WITHIN 50 MILES. NO RESERVE."

Uniton Swissecho 2000 Update

Swissdoc updated his page on the Uniton Swissecho 2000

"I updated the page with some statements from Mr. Garcia about the AKG relationship and Uniton History. In addition I added some more sound samples from guitar amps with spring reverbs. Great how muffled they sound in comparision with the high-end tank of the Swissecho 2000."

Do a find for "comparison to guitar amps' for the demos when you get there, and Mr. Garcia of course for Mr.Garcia's comments.
