"This is a piece of vintage synth history. This is a product catalogue from Crumar that is about the size of a 7 inch single and inside it contains individual photos of their products. On the back of each photo is a printed spec sheet of each instrument. This used to ship with a Crumar product if you bought it straight from the factory. I've never seen this for sale before. As you can tell from the photographs, everything is in MINT to NEAR MINT shape. The date is from the late 1970's to the early 1980's."

"Up for auction is the incredibly rare HIllwood Blue Comets 73 Synth for parts or repair. Very little is known about this synth. I'm sure there are very few in exsistence, it may be worth owning just for the bizarre name/collectibility.

"This is a single oscillator monophonic synth, made in 1973. It has a 12db filter. The oscillator has both sawtooth and square wave that can be selected individually or combined with the four rocker switches simply labeled "Wave 1", "Wave 2", "Wave 3" or "Wave 4". It can be modified with 7 presets assignable with rocker tabs labeled "Effect 1", "Effect 2", etc. There are no descriptions to the tabs as to what they actually sound like. Luckily there is a tab labeled "Control" that allow you to tweak the sounds with the control panel to the left of the keyboard. Select all four "Wave" tabs and it will randomly distort. Add in "noise" and "Growl" and it can get downright nasty. It has a retro white heavy-metal casing."

I found this demo on youtube, not the best, but you can get an idea of what it sounds like. Dirty lo-fi analog spacey: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81QZOhiWlSg [previously posted here]

It powers on but produces no sound when attached to an amp. It has scratching and pitting on the faceplate and the control section as pictured below, it doesnt have any missing sliders or broken buttons. Seems to be totally intact but definitley with wear to the body. One of the wood sides is attached, but loose, like as if the wood needs to be glued back down. Sold AS IS!"

Oberheim OBSX Monster Analog Synthesizer.

"Oberheim OB-SX two tracked into a crumby digital recorder. I obviously over loaded the signal a couple times! :O This synth is much nicer than it sounds here believe me. It would have been far better to have recorded it on my 388 reel to reel, but thats not working right now. Drum machine is an old Alesis HR-16B (the black one) Slightly more synth poppish compared to the gray one. I also used a Yamaha E-1005 Analog Delay Rack...! O-B-S-X!!!!"

Déjà vu with the girl on roller skates.

Music Ipad App: Clap Box

"Music Ipad App Clap Box. This app is inspired by the 1980s Simmons Clap Trap, a legendary hand clap synthesizer used on countless records. A promising app by Pure Magnetik and a great deal of fun to use. Well laid out and simple to use. Best results on an Ipad."

Autumn Soundtrack live on Yamaha rm1x

YouTube Uploaded by rm1xapm on Nov 1, 2010

"Autumn Soundtrack, live on Yamaha RM1X (and Korg Kaossilator at the beginning) I hooked up an old Yamaha DJX 1 keyboard to MIDI out of the RM1X and used the piano patch from the keyboard synth. IMO it sounds much better than the RM1X build in 'Grand Piano' patch. Drums, bassline and vibes are from the RM1X. This track is not yet finished, it is just a quick'n'dirty live mix but I hope you enjoy it anyway :)"
