The Analog Lab NYC-Sennheiser VSM 201 | EML POLYBOX

YouTube Published on Sep 6, 2012 by TheAnalogLab

"A brief, stereotypical vocoder demo featuring the amazing Sennheiser VSM 201 Vocoder with an EML POLYBOX.

These were both units that were in for repair at The Analog Lab in NYC.

The tone generator is routed through the EML where it is divided into user selected pitches/chords. The chords remain static, but the pitch shifts with the change of the frequency of the tone generator.

-Also featured- One of Harlan's favorite screwdrivers...it snuck in and I didn't notice until afterward.

And an Oscilloscope for awesomeness.

Signal Arts Tetra MAPS III Sequencer Desktop Version with Original Box

Note: Auction links are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.

via this auction

"The Tetra "Midi Analog Performance Sequencer" (Tetra MAPS) is an extremely versatile and intuitive sequencer. This thing is truly bad-ass & capable of many cool tricks and features. This is the desktop version, which Signal Arts does not produces any longer.

Specs/info about the unit:
The Tetra MAPS gives you infinite virtual tracks, modulations and multiple, real-time versions of each sequence, polyphonic sequencing, as well as four channels of CV output and computer network Open Sound Control. It has an Ethernet port for device networking Ethernet communications using Open Sound Control (OSC). You can control the Tetra MAPS and send real-time data to OSC enabled applications such as iPad TouchOSC, MAX/MSP, Lemur and more. You can also network together multiple Tetra MAPS sequencers using OSC messages.

It has analog voice control with Full-featured four channel MIDI to Control Voltage conversion (MCV) with authentic mono synth emulation with an eight finger note buffer. It also has Low/High/Last note priority as well as Volts/Octave or Volts/Hertz output scaling.

Dynamic sequence triggering with this unit moves beyond the traditional step sequencer. This Tetra MAPS sequencer can have concurrent triggering of each bank of eight sequences, with multiple virtual sequence iterations. Multiple sequences can trigger sources i.e. encoder knobs, external MIDI, & Open Sound Control (OSC signals). It has multiple modes of triggering and can make sequence steps that can overlap each other, which enables the Tetra MAPS sequencer to create polyphonic layers w/ one sequence.

Real time flexibility moves beyond a MIDI sequencer with Real time sequence track control: volume/mute, remote modulation, track patch change, meta linking, meta triggering, record. Sequence step modes: note/scale, detune, velocity, controller, step duration, note duration, slew rate.

Other features: +24,000 note memory. +Analog and MIDI sync."
