PIANA - the Rasberry Pi synthesizer - built into a D-Link ADSL router box!

Published on Oct 11, 2012 by Pi Synth

"My ADSL router blew up a couple of years ago, and for reasons I never really understood, I kept the case. Now, with the Bristol Raspberry Jam just 3 days away, I wanted to be able to show off my PIANA in a nice case, not just nailed to a plank of wood, but I had totally run out of time to get anything rapid prototyped. And I need all of the next 3 days to cram in new features.

D-Link to the rescue!

So now Piana and the Teeny Tiny TV are all integrated into a sensible single unit. I just apply USB at the back for power, plug in a MIDI keyboard, and plug in a big amp at the back.

On Monday I shall be taking a Marshall ... nope, I am not kidding."

Richard Devine "Mu5ca-diN3"- late night modular patch

"Mu5ca-diN3"- late night modular patch from Richard Devine on Vimeo.

"Modular track I recorded late last night. Everything clocked from one intellijel Dixie to a Doepfer A-160,161, MakeNoise Brains, Pressure Points X 2. Clock division gates sent out from the 4ms SCM, and RCD. Beats courtesy of the CycleBox II and TipTop BD808 kick. Make noise phonogene processing the cwejman S1 analogue percussion zaps. String layer and and lead created with a Cwejman VM-1 and VCO2RM with the help of a intellijel uScale quantizer/MMF-1/ washed through a bit of reverb from the Eventide Space, and Tiptop Z-DSP, Z-5000. finally the Op-1doing light sine tone sprinkles...

Note: No drum machines or computers used in this video."

Introducing the new Reactable Live! Limited Series S4

"Since the very beginning our goal was to create a new approach to perform and enjoy music, to challenge and push the limits of how we interact with sound.

Reactable Live! gives artists a rich visual and tangible experience that not only resonates and connects with them and their audience, it makes them stand out.

With the new Reactable Live! limited series we continue to improve this experience, we’ve revisited every detail and worked hard to make it even better, resulting in the best edition we have made so far.

And along with all of the improvements we have improved the price too, starting October 10th

Reactable Live! will have NEW prices."

2 x Touch Keyboard + micromac-r

Published on Oct 11, 2012 by macbethsynthesizers

"Here's a video featuring my new 3 Octave Touch Capacitant Analogue Keyboard Controller! It's been a long time in development...but finally- no wires, being earthed to ground- nothing! I'm actually playing two prototypes here- a 1 octave test unit and the 3 Octave one. The left side 1 Octave is playing that 'vaporware' thing I've been working on- and the other is playing the new Macbeth micromac-r unit! A korg sequencer is driving osc3 and the filter on the micromac!"

"Seen here- the first working model of my 3 Octave Touch Capacitant Analogue Keyboard Controller! It's a first for me as I've never actually played 3 octaves of touch before!...I used to have a Wasp and a Synthi AKS. The action is just the same! It spits out 3 CVs- all with separate Glide functions- there is also Negative CV as an output. Theres a built in 4 waveform LFO and there is Pitch Bend too!"
