"It is almost 3 months ago since I uploaded my last video. I was very busy with the Beyond Berlin project. But I felt the urge to upload something. And then this came up last evening. Simple and pure, only 2 sequences, a carpet of sound and a modest solo. Hope you like it.
One 8-step sequence comes from the Doepfer MAQ16/3 sequencer and drives the Synthesizers.com Modular. The other 8-step sequence comes from the Synthesizers.com Q960 sequencer which drives the Rob Hordijk OSC HRM which is only modulated by an Q109 Envelope Generator for the VCA on it, so one voice with only two modules. The secret is that the gate of row 2 of the MAQ16/3, which also has an 8-step sequence with steps 2 and 7 off and runs half time of row 1, is used for the EG's and shifting the Q960.
Anne used my iPhone 4 to film this video.

Roland TB-303 sequencing Korg Monotribe using CV Gate breakout box

"A quick demo of the 303 sequencing the Monotribe using my breakout box, the box gives a separate socket for CV and Gate, making connection a lot easier, available to buy for £15, send me a message if interested. Shot using iPhone and Fostex Ar4i, sorry for the wonky camera work!"

CGS Serge Noise Source & Random Voltage Generator
In case you missed the update in this post, Ken Stone of Catgirl Synth (CGS) will also have the new Noise Source, which, actually is a 1975 design. The Serge Tcherepnin copyright in the image from that post was for the new drawing of the schematic.
Pictured here is the Noise Source in Ken's system along with the Random Voltage Generator. The Noise Source makes the Random Voltage Generator possible. In the image below, the PCB with fewer parts in the bottom pic is the Noise Source. The other board is the SSG (Serge Smooth and Stepped Generator).
CGS Multi Tempo Patch

"I don't know how many years it is that I have been working towards getting a decent sized patch going. Too much building, too many interruptions, too many times having to pull something apart to answer questions. So over the last couple of weeks, my intentions got a little further than just being that, and a managed a couple of rudimentary/experimental patches. Finally today I spent a few hours putting this together. I don't know how many years I've wanted to do this particular type of patch, but it's been a lot. The basis is the C Am F G chord progression. VCO 1 is playing those notes, VCO 2 is playing harmony at twice the rate. VCO 3 is playing a 15 step sequence at 4(?) times the rate again, while VCO 4 is playing the "lead" at 1/2 the rate of VCO 1. The lead uses a Doepfer Phase Locked Loop to break up the tone a bit. This was just quickly recorded with the camera to make sure I have a record of it. At the moment there is no audio recording equipment in the room! Oh - the Serge isn't part of the patch. It is still wired up as per the last video."

"Testing out four panels of the ex La-Trobe University Serge. The reverb module had just had 90% component replacement, and was being given a good work out to test it. The patch is just an expansion of the one in the last two panel video of this synth. Unfortunately the camera microphone leaves it sounding a little tinny. Please excuse the over-weight under-dressed old dude at the controls! XD"

"Two modules from a vintage paperface Serge Modular from 1975. Upgrades/repairs made to sequencer section, inluding replacing and adding LEDs, an 8 ways switch to give a default sequencer patch, addition of cycle switches on the Negative Slews. Patch has two VCOs running from different rows of the sequencer/programmer. Neg slew as clock for seq. Neg Slew as LFO for second filter. 1st filter and Gate driven by Envelope generator. 2nd Env Generator acting as sub-oscillator. 2nd Gate used as a mixer/level."
