"A quick demo of the punchy sound of the Roland TR-505, a budget but cool drum machine from 1986. The Korg M1 plays "Jamaica", a combi from the M1 series "Synth 2" card set. A Fender Jazz bass rounds up the RIDDIM :-) (sorry for the bad focus)."

soundmachines LS1lightstrip plays RB1robotto
Published on Mar 21, 2013
"Sorry for the quality but we are too excited to give a damn!!!!
Cheers!

"The first soundmachines-only nano-modular! only 12hp!
"The LS1 is a capacitive technology slider that will generate CV and GATE signals along with the movement of your finger on its surface.
LIVE Mode
Each time your fingers touches the slider surface a voltage is sent out the CV jack and the relevant GATE signal is also put out. Pair this with a quantizer and, you know….. The LEDs on the side of the slider will light up as the voltage output changes.
HOLD Mode
Without having your finger on the slider, press the rec/mode capacitive buttton. The rec/mode LED will light solid. Same as above but the CV value is held when you whitdraw your finger. Instant control surface for VCFs, VCAs and any other CV controllable stuff in your modular! Tap on the rec/mode again to back up to LIVE mode! The LEDs on the side of the slider will light up as the voltage output changes.
REC Mode
When you have your finger (steady or moving)already on the slider, by pressing the rec/mode capacitive button you START recording the movements on the slider. When you stop pressing the button (or you exceeds 4 seconds) the output will start ‘playing’ in loop what you recorded. The LED on the rec/mode button will blink fast during the recording and slower during the playback phase. If you operate again on the slider the output will be overridden with you physical intervention but the ‘timing’ won’t be lost. To end the PLAY phase just tap on the rec/mode button again. The LEDs on the side of the slider will light up as the voltage output changes.
OPTIONS:
For each of those modes you can choose (via jumpers on the back) the CV range (0-5V or 0-10V), the orientation of the module (upside down anyone???? you possibly would like to choose where your jacks are!!!), the mode of RECORDING, internal or external (the GATE output in this case doubles as a REC button trigger, permitting you to ‘sync’ with some cosmic rhythm…).
Do you like it?"

MOOG SOUND LAB Season 3 | Washed Out | Far Away
Published on Mar 21, 2013 MoogMusicInc·230 videos
"Ernest Greene, the man behind Washed Out, stepped into the Moog Sound Lab and transformed his song Far Away from the 2011 album "Within and Without". In its original incarnation "Far Away" was built around vibes, bells & stringed instruments, but here Greene tears down the song and completely rebuilds it on a foundation of Moog Synths.
Lead Vocalist & Keyboardist Ernest Greene performs with a Little Phatty analog synthesizer. The harpsichord-esque sound created was then synced to Ableton Live and arpeggiated, and filter sweeps are then applied throughout the song.
Percussionist Cameron Gardner utilizes the Trap-Kat MIDI controller to trigger 3 Rack Mounted Minimoog Voyagers, which combined, create the kick, snare, and hi-hat patches.
Bassist Chris Gardner forgoes his bass guitar and carries the bottom end with a single Minitaur analog bass synthesizer.
Keyboardist and Vocalist Blair Greene uses a Select Series Minimoog Voyager as a controller for Animoog, Moog's iPad based Anisotropic synthesizer to recreate the song's pads.

MIDI-controlled Envelope Generator by www.georgmahr.de

"A MIDI-controlled single envelope generator which I have built. This is mainly for MIDI-productions with lots of kicks and accents. The device listens to 4 controllers and is triggered by a note on same channel and / or manually. Current setup can be stored permanently. The output is 0-6V. A rack of 5 envelopes is planned"
