SPUTNIK West Coast Random Source
via An Inaudible Hum
"I guess it was only a matter of time before someone (in this case, Robbie MacDonald) translated Don Buchla's elegantly screwy electrical ode to unpredictability to the Eurorack format. Its design is very similar to Buchla's, but of course eighth inch cable inputs/outputs are featured throughout (no bananas). The original design divided functions into four discrete noise and S/H sections, while Sputnik furthers this idea with two additions, 'Integrator' and dedicated 'Sample and Hold'."
ES-3 Reaktor 8-Bit LED Display

"I used Native Instruments Reaktor to create an 8-bit LED display out of the Expert Sleepers ES-3 Eurorack module. In the first demo I use the Malekko 8nu8r to sweep the CV. In the second demo I use my ArdCore Pseudo-Random Shift Register sketch. The Reaktor macro is calibrated for the ArdCore which only goes from 0 to 5V. The 8nu8r goes past 7V, so that's why the LEDs wrap around. This macro can be used as an ArdCore expander by using the ES-3's outputs as triggers or gates."

"Came across the basis of this patch while skimming through the presets on my current patch. The preset manager is full of surprises, sometimes bad, but this one was prettty good to start with."

Octave Cat SRM Documents & Schematics

via Nicholas Keller on The MATRIXSYNTH Lounge
"I have changed the original Cat SRM documents to match two different units that I have examined. Hopefully these new docs can serve as an alternate reference for anyone fixing or modifying an Octave Cat SRM."
You'll find them on Modular Experiments here.

Eventide Instant Flanger

"This particular Eventide Instant Flanger is in working condition. Cosmetically, the Instant Flanger is in incredible condition, and features all original knobs, all leds functioning, and the lettering/printing on the front panel is crisp and blemish free. The top of the unit shows some rack rash, and looks as though a previous owner used a black marker to color over the scratches. Obviously, this doesn't show when racked.
The Instant Flanger was one of the first flangers commercially produced (alongside Eventide's Instant Phaser), and was meant to emulate tape-based flanging effects only possible in studios. It boasts a unique set of features, including the bounce knob which gives users the ability to mimic the effect of tape machine motor fluctuations. You can manual sweep the flanger, or send cv in the remote section. The Envelope Follower is also a nice addition. The Instant Flanger was a secret weapon of Brian Eno, and you can hear it on much of his mid-70s work solo, or with David Bowie.
For more information on the Instant Flanger, check the manual."

"This particular EDP Spider was recently inspected and serviced, and is in perfect working condition. The Spider sequencer records notes input into it from another EDP synthesizer, and allows quantization, as well as the ability to sync to an external source (like a drum machine), and send cv and gate out. It's fast and easy to use, and the results are mind boggling! Cable to connect to your wasp or gnat is also included... The Spider, when paired with a WASP or bass machine Gnat, is a powerful tool for creating rhythms, basslines, and other melodic sequences quickly. Perfect for live or studion situations."
