Elektron Octatrack is the master clock with midi in on the Analogue Solutions Vostok sending clock information only into my 4MS clocks to keep everything synced. Thats about it I think :)"

"A bit of experimentation with marimba type sounds. Chords + arpeggio outputs of the Flame chord machine (arpeggio trigger delayed from main clock by a Doepfer trigger delay) - RS95 oscilators - through a QMMG with 2 envelopes from the Maths. Panned with the Azimuth 2, and a bit of reverb from the Roland SRV-330."

Why am I (Elektron Octatrack x2, Korg R3, Kaossilator Pro, Kaoss Pad Quad, Behringer NOX606)

"Took me a few goes, but I finally got it!
This one is a sort of upbeat sequel to Acid in my Head.

This is my new dual Octatrack setup. Octatrack 1 is drums, 2 is instruments. Kaossilator pro for swooshes etc, Quad Pad for multi fx.

The Behringer NOX 606 mixer is set up so when the crossfader is to the left the OT's pass through a filter each. When it is to the right the Quad Pad's audio is output, emulating the OT's own crossfader scenes!

This track was written in FL Studio prior to being brought across to the OT's. I rendered one shots, loops and multi-sampled instruments then re-sequenced it all. It takes a long time, but is very rewarding and flexible.

I'm building up more material for a gig I have next month, so expect some more videos while I practice.

"In the first clip, Dan 'Polymoog' Stesco is auditioning the factory patches that he programmed for Korg. In the second vid he's running through a few more patches. I'm not certain if all of the patches in the second vid made it onto the MicroSTATION factory presets, but Dan later released a free patch bank for the MS community. Anyways, the shredding is good stuff and I'm certain Hampsterdunce Dave would approve! ;) BTW GuitarCenter has a couple of MicroStations in their used gear section for $250. They are a steal..."
