"What happens when I patch the output into the input? FUN THATS WHAT!

I love this thing, not only is it one of the most interesting delays I have used, its also one of the best sounding analogue delays to boot!"

Steady State Fate Propagate+ PTG+CLOQ

"Messing around with the Propagate prototype, PTG, CLOQ and others.

Patch info:

CLOQ/CEX are clocking Propagate's 1st input, which is cascading down to create the gates that are controlling amplitude and filter cutoff. This is achieved by using Propagate's SUM output to gate the PTG, and 2nd/3rd individual delay outputs are controlling some of the PTG's CV inputs. This has the effect of gating the amplitude and opening/closing the filter in different ways. An OSC303 is used for the melody and is being controlled by the pitch output of the graphic sequencer - which is clocked via one of the Cloq's divided outputs. The OSC303 is fed into one of the PTG's VCAs for amplitude modulation - and then into the Multifilter - which is being modulated by the PTG as well."

Sonic Zoom for iPad Tutorial

"A very cool little app that lets you learn and understand synth s in a new and very interesting way..and it's free.

Free on iTunes:

iOS Devices on eBay - Daily Tech Deals

"Sonic Zoom is a PhD research project from Queen Mary University. The app aims to look at how people interact with music synthesisers: how they adjust parameters and explore the vast range of sounds on offer.

There are two interfaces presented. The first is fairly standard: ten sliders that control each parameter. The second is more novel: a two-dimensional surface that can be scrolled and zoomed similar to a map. Every sound that can be made with the synth is located somewhere on this surface. If you find a sound you like, you can zoom in on it to explore smaller variations. You can save a sound and this will drop a marker on the surface. These markers are easy to revisit and can be smoothly interpolated between. Your path through the sound space is visible, so you can retrace your steps.

The first 15 minutes is a timed experiment. Users will then be asked to complete a quick questionnaire. After this you are free to use the app, and a few extra features will be unlocked as a reward."

cellular automata sequencer 1

"Go to
http://nonlinearcircuits.blogspot.com...
for more info about this module.

This is a single neighbourhood of 4 cells. All 4 cells get the same clock signal, a gate running at 1/16th of the clock is fed to cell4 input. The output of cell2 is fed to cell1. The CV and psuedo-random outputs control a VCO and VCF.

This is intended to be on a panel containing 6 neighbourhoods, so 24 cells. The neighbourhoods outputs can be summed in various ways to get multiple complex CV patterns."

The VODER (1939) - Early Speech Synthesizer

Uploaded on Apr 4, 2011 VintageCG·120 videos

"Considered the first electrical speech synthesizer, VODER (Voice Operation DEmonstratoR) was developed by Homer Dudley at Bell Labs and demonstrated at both the 1939 New York World's Fair and the 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition. Difficult to use and difficult to operate, VODER nonetheless paved the way for future machine-generated speech."

You might remember Audio Mastering Studio for iPad from this post featuring the Quasimidi Sirius.  The app is now available on iTunes.

Audio Mastering - iMusicAlbum

iOS Devices on eBay - Daily Tech Deals

"The first fully functional audio mastering application for iPad. For everyone who wants to make own music tracks excellent quality. Based on the same algorithms which used in professional plug-ins this application turns your iPad into a real mastering studio.

This all-in-one tool lets you process sound, convert audio formats, change sample rate, convert bit depth, cut part of track for preview and make fade-in and fade-out.

With very easy and clear interface you can tweak all controls in real time and listening to the final result right away.

Built-in presets let you quickly find the general mood of your composition and a slightly tweak to get a best result. If you make own preset that you want to use later, you can save it as a preset hotkey.

Audio processing features:

● Linear phase 10-bands graphic Equalizer based on phase shifting.
● Three bands Stereo Imaging with common Stereo Width level.
● Harmonic Saturator with three sets of harmonics.
● Loudness Maximizer with adjustable response speed and ceiling.
● Sample rate converter from 96, 88.2, 48 to 44.1 kHz.
● Bit depth converter supported 16, 24, 32 bits.
● Dithering with noise shaping.
● Supports .wav, .aif, .mp3 audio file formats.

Application features:

● Predefined preset hotkeys, ability to create own presets.
● All processing settings are stored for each file.
● Processing group of selected files.
● Exchange files thru internal Web service.
● Compatible with AudioCopy / AudioPaste.
● Supports iTunes file share.

Compatible:

iPad 2 and higher is recommended. Generally this application can be run with iPad 1 but there is possibility of dropping the signal out when playback, especially at frequencies above 44.1 kHz. Offline processing can be done with any iPads quite well.

Please note: This application is audio processing tool only. It does not have audio editor functions."
