"Misa Digital Kitara Digital Guitar Details

A very unique and powerful tool that brings the world of midi, in a familiar feel to guitarists, the Misa Digital Kitara Digital Guitar is an experimental new instrument, similar to an electric guitar in shape, but with an interface designed to easily and intuitively control digital audio. Most musicians today use some form of audio synthesis or sampling in their music. Virtually any type of sound can be created using these methods. Traditionally, digital piano keyboards have been the dominant instrument for controlling these sounds real-time in a musical setting. The Kitara is a new instrument that not only unites traditional guitar playing technique with digital sound, but allows digital guitarists to use playing techniques that are not possible or comfortable on a digital keyboard.

The Misa Kitara consists of three main components: a full fretboard, a multi-touch screen and an onboard polyphonic synthesizer with sounds and effects. The Kitara's neck has 24 frets, but instead of strings each fret contains buttons. You play notes by touching on the screen. The position and movement of your touch determine how the sound is generated and processed. You can apply a number of digital effects, including distortion, delay and modulation, and you can control these effects through the touch panel interface. You can save sounds as presets, and you can swap preset files online. You can assign one sound to all six strings, or assign different sounds to different strings. The Kitara can control compatible MIDI devices too. Everything is configurable. It runs Linux and is open source

"Two tone generators (VCO's), each with:
Pitch: center frequency from rumbling low to hissing high

All of the above, plus...
Waveshaper: blend each LFO from square to triangle, a knob per LFO
Symmetry: blend each LFO from sawtooth ramp-up to triangle to sawtooth ramp-down, or variable duty-cycle rectangle wave, a knob per LFO

Dual cross modulation: frequency modulate each channel with the other, a switch per VCO
Range switches: select full pitch range or high range only, a switch per VCO
Drum triggers: adds a trigger input jack and sensitivity knob per VCO, for triggering each channel with an external source

"Up for sale is vintage KORG MS-20 Analog Semi-Modular Synthesizer. This is a classic patchable monophonic synth that made its debut in 1978.

The unit appears to be working fine, all the keys and knobs, as well as the patches worked as I gave it a test.

Cosmetically its in beautiful condition as you can see from my pictures. There are some very minor signs of wear and marks here and there, a slight fading on the print as shown, but nothing major at all and obviously have been looked after very well. The patch bay is clean with no sign of oxidation, in an amazing condition if you consider its age..."

KORG Rare ROM Card for 707 FM Keyboard, PSU-200 ROM Card, "Synthesizer Programs"

"This is a Korg ROM card, "Synthesizer Programs" for use with the "CARD" bank, on the FM synth keyboard, the 707. It is in very good + condition, and works for the FM keyboard that's the little brother to the DS-8 FM Synth, the 707 Performance Synthesizer. This listing is for the Korg card itself, it's small booklet with the lists of sounds, a nice Korg jewel case insert (with no writing on it) and an excellent condition jewel case for all of these, for storage and protection.

The card can be accessed right from your front panel, with no need to load them into memory, thereby allowing you to keep whichever sounds you like in the internal RAM memory, AND this excellent ROM card in the card slot. You can also split and layer them with the internal sounds, make new combinations, etc.

With 200 sounds, this card will really expand the range of your 707 performance FM synthesizer!"

buchla 222e programming play

Published on Aug 7, 2013 Todd Barton·113 videos

"Musically this is rough and not much, but I'm putting it up as an exploration of programming a variety of timbres, pitches, rhythms and sequences via the Buchla 222e touchplates. Some fun now :-) As always, sorry for the poor audio quality via my cheapo flipcam mic."
