Beetle PR-7 Rare Programming Module for Yamaha TX-7 SN 001094

"Back in the early 1980s there was an adventurous startup in the Los Angeles area by the name of Beetle Inc., founded by a couple of very smart electrical engineers who were making advanced computerized musical equipment. That is, until Yamaha forced them out of business with threats of lawsuits. But not before they managed to get a small number of unique products into the marketplace, including the PR-7 programming module. This device connects to the Yamaha TX-7 FM synthesis module via two midi cables and controls it with exactly the same functionality as the control panel of the Yamaha DX-7. Excellent condition. See separate listing for the companion TX-7 module."
You can see one in action here. Apparently this works with the TX216 and TX816 as well.

"This is probably one of the best Odyssey's that is out there, modified by famous ARP Technician, Phil Cirocco. This synth has been personally modified by him and includes the rear and sought after the Moog style filter. The ADSR turbo switch gives a faster attack when engaged creating harder bass and percussive sounds... The Absolute Best basses and leads and unique sounds can be created with a sonic depth that you just can not get anywhere else. This unit has also been updated with a midi interface made by Synhouse which includes the following functions listed below ... Please note that this modification Does not affect the use of the control voltage interface. I originally bought the unit with retrofitted patch point inserts for each module, if you look closely you will see them. I never added the modification to making this unit modular. Comes with copied manual and original Arp Pedal to Control Filter.
Synhouse Midi Jack:
A complete list of the 12 functions of the Original MIDIJACK:
MIDI channel selection (to select MIDI reception channel 1-16)
MIDI panic button (to silence stuck MIDI notes)
MIDI Off mode (useful for keeping unused synthesizers silent onstage or for selecting built-in / local analog keyboard control and external control via control voltage gate interface jacks, also known as CV/gate control)
MIDI On mode (normal operation)
4-note buffer (for musical trill effects and for relaxed performance with automatic error correction)
Single note triggering (for legato performance)
Multiple note triggering (for articulated performance)
MIDI transpose select mode (for deeper bass)
Analog CV calibration mode
Receives MIDI Note On messages (full range, MIDI notes 0-127
Receives MIDI Note Off messages (full range, MIDI notes 0-127)
Receives MIDI sustain pedal (controller number 64)"

CLUB MALIBU' - Les Chic Voltage
Published on Nov 8, 2013 jerry dibella·27 videos
Minimoog Voyager bass gets the post.
"This is a track I made entirely from scratch (as usual...) using just analog and hardware synthesizers. For the bass synth part I've used a Minimoog Voyager. On the Sweep pad synth there's a Roland Juno 60 (also a little arpeggio part in the middle bridge of the song...); I also used a Roland D-50 for some other poly synth pad, and a Korg M1 in the bridge (middle part of the song...). All of the drums & percussion I made in Logic Studio with Ultrabeat sampler, with my Frankenstein Drums kit. The title has been placed at random...at the time of the composition I was playing with GTA Vice City, and in the video game there is a place called "Club Malibu'"...sorry for the little imagination!
