JoMoX ModBase 09 and ModBrane 11

"In this video the Jomox ModBase 09 and ModBrane 11 modules are being triggered by the Cwejman RG-6 and Cwejman CTG-VC. Random slewed CV's from the D-LFO are used as envelopes for the ModBrane 11 which is fed through two channels of the 4ms VCA Matrix while modulated at different random rates. Audio rate random CV from another D-LFO is fed through the Linear FM of the ModBrane 11. A randomly 'pinged' Mutable Instruments Braids pluck (triggered from the Cwejman RG-6 gate) is used to FM the ModBase 09 Linear FM input. Randomized bi-polar saws and random probability spreads are being used to modulate the 4 CV busses of the Mod Brane 11. The ModBase 09 pitch and tuning comes from MakeNoise pressure points channel (clocked to the RG-6) where a channel of pressure is used to throw the RG-6 clock out of a steady pulse via external signal in and clock rate CV modulation.

Note the channel will showcase upcoming events as well as coverage after the event. Major trade shows like NAMM and Musikmesse will not get the event label as they would flood the channel and they are not open to the public. Moog Music hits SXSW at Elysium on Saturday, March 15th at 7pm for an official showcase co-presented with Switched On, the Austin-based synth dream store and artist destination spot. Electronic and industrial music pioneer Gary Numan has been recognized as a brilliant musical innovator by a diverse array of the world's greatest artists - from Prince to Lady Gaga, The Foo Fighters and Nine Inch Nails. While Numan's unique, pioneering style continues to connect, he has never stopped trying to innovate and his latest album, Splinter (Songs From A Broken Mind), is evidence of this desire to never stand still. The SXSW showcases led by Numan will be joined by Trust, EMA, Empress Of, Feathers, and Silk Rodeo.

Cheers to him for calling out it is not semi-modular. People are beginning to blur the line between what is modular and what is not. Modular is literally independent modules that you can physically move around. Semi-modular are independent modules housed under one panel that can be re-routed via patch cables. A synth with CV patch points is just that, a CV patchable synth, not modular. There is some confusion in regards to modulation and modulation matrixes in various hardware synths, but modular does not equal modulation matrix. Modular equals modules that can be moved around and reconfigured amongst other modules in a modular system.
