Midi Retrofitting a Rhythm Ace FR-2L with Arduino
Title says it all. You'll find full details on how to do the mod at Youth Vulture here.
Some interesting synth history/trivia from the post's intro:
"In the late 1960s, Japanese company Ace Tone released the first ever rhythm machine to use transistors to generate its tones. This machine was called the FR-1, and its design influenced nearly every drum machine produced until the digital machines that started cropping up in the early 80s. A few years after the FR-1, Ace Tone put out the FR-2L, an organ-top version of the FR-1 which is identical on the inside, save for a few arbitrary differences. In fact, the circuit boards inside my FR-2L even say FR-1."

Thonk DIY Kit for TouellSkouarn
via Thonk on Facebook
"We are working on a DIY Kit with the inimitable TouellSkouarn. Soviet Military Germanium Transistor drenched FUZZ - Strakal Brulu.
Aluminium panel. Hand picked NOS transistors. Nichicon and Wima caps throughout.
Inflate a digital oscillator before you hit a filter, or put it at the end of chain and tear heads off.... and a world in-between. CV control over Fuzz. A demon!"

four bricks rook first test
Published on Mar 27, 2014 MrBDust·4 videos
"Here s the first test of a new eurorack module prototype i just designed, the four bricks rook running along with another module of mine, a dual CV gate recorder, the Bishop Miscellany
It s a four channel trig sequencer, trig sequences can be recorded by playing buttons or by loading patterns in tables. There s eight tables, table number is defined by a pot.
Pattern length can be adjusted (1,2,3,4,6,8,12,16,24,32 steps) by turning the length potentiometer. If your pattern is eigth step long, you are dividing the total sequence by 4, so you got four eigth steps long patterns. The eigth step long pattern you re playing is defined by the Shift Potentiometer and the Shift CV input.
In playing mode, buttons can be used as track mute.
Finally, there s two sequences, A and B which can be accessed by the AB switch.
There s still some bugs to fix and some ideas to improve, a demo video with the final prototype will follow."
