"This is the ultra rare and very cool Flame MIDI Talking Synth from Germany.

Two Speakjet speech synthesis chips provide a stereo spread of robot voices plus beeps, alarms, noise and retro-style sci-fi sounds.

It can babble like a maniacal R2D2 robot or say dozens of pre programmed words like;

"bass, plastic, music, black hole, tekkno, mystery, sex, drugs and rock'n'roll!"

Using the 72 phonemes and allophones of the English language in it's memory it can be programmed to say any words you like.

You can hours and hours of fun with this. When hooked up to a sequencer this is a monster. You can modulate the sounds with the dual joysticks in real time and record over and over. If you are familiar with using Speak n Spells, this is the Ferrari with limitless control. You can save words and phrases you create and play them back with keyboards and sequencers via MIDI.

Also functions as a MIDI controller as all controls and joysticks send MIDI control/change data to the MIDI-OUT connector.

The synth comes with original box and manual. It is only missing one rubber foot dot on the bottom (see last pic) which does not affect it's performance at all. Works perfectly. Requires a standard 9-12V 500ma DC powersupply."

"Demonstration of the songs made on the Yamaha V50 synthesizer workstation. This synth has the famous fm sound chip but this is an improved version of the TX81Z rack synth.

The DVA function and built in voice-based pitch delay are two interesting features in this synth. This UP K2-X sounds big, warm, punnchy and tough, works great and its built like a tank! All metal.
Used by Warp Records artists Plaid - in this link you can see it in their studio.

Physical condition - As you can see in the photos some knobs are missing their caps and some caps are attached but need a little glue to keep them from spnning. There is one missing led light but everything functions and all knobs are clean. Marks and scratches visible in photos. Nothing major. Youll see some tape on the bottom also, you can just take that off though.

"Our second limited edition module, the Chain Reactor is a quadraphonic voltage influenced chaotic waveform generator. The module is available now exclusively at pittsburghmodular.com. Production of the Chain Reactor was limited to 50 modules and once it is gone, it is gone.

The Chain Reactor combines two of our classic VILFO modules with two additional free running LFOs to create an endless supply of chaotic fluctuations. VILFO1 and VILFO2 feature our unique voltage influence control. Voltage influence works differently than standard voltage control, it allows the incoming CV to mingle with the LFO waveforms in interesting ways, creating unique modulations and patterns. The output of each VILFO is a voltage controlled variable waveform that shifts from a triangle to square wave.

The Voltage Influence Circuit
A typical Voltage controlled oscillator works by using a CV input to directly control the oscillation frequency. The more voltage sent to the CV input, the higher the frequency of the oscillator. The lower the voltage, the lower the frequency of the oscillator. Voltage Influence works by using the CV input to attenuate the frequency of the oscillator while at the same time injecting some of the voltage from influence CV input to the feedback loop of the oscillator. Results can vary from subtle to chaotic. Subtle results can be similar to tremolo, shuffle, or soft reset while more extreme settings produce glitchy, rhythmic, chaotic fluctuations in the frequency of the oscillator."
