"This was recorded in a semi-abandoned cottage.

Exploring my circuit bent instrument and its many sound textures... A bit of a lengthy video but for those of you who enjoy ambient sound, this shouldn't be a problem.

Also, I would like to thank Alienjunkyard Circuit Bent Devices for giving me a hand on this build. This project was completed within a week's time. I desperately wanted this synth ready for the Montreal Mini Maker Faire and without his collaboration, this couldn't of been possible.

Much appreciated and... I know it wasn't easy working with me ;-)

So... Thanks wherever you are!

The build:

- 42 glitch points
- Pitch control
- Passive Ring Mod with selector for oscillator/input
- EXTREME delay
- 4 audio outputs

There will be more clips to come with Sebastian Trafalgar exploring the drum loops/glitch possibilities from this machine.

Sonic Potions LXR Drum Synthesizer

"Hard to find or build LXR drum machine in very good condition. It’s a great drum machine, with a combination of subtractive and FM synthesis as well as sample support. Connectivity on standard 5-pin MIDI DIN as well as MIDI over USB. Two stereo outputs and full panning control means four independent outs, giving you lots of flexibility when mixing.

The sequencing is very simple, but if you want to go deeper it has pattern randomization functionality and it can even randomize patches. The operating system is very easy to update or you can install user tweaked operating system software from the Sonic Potions forum. Basically it’s a lot of fun and drum machine that will be a classic soon enough."
