[DSI Tempest] Gear Spotlight #2 - Tempest in a Teapot

"My Tempest was one of the first major synths I made videos with. I feel like I have learned a lot about this beast of a synth/drum machine, and I still have so much to learn about it.
I wanted to do something different with each of these gear showcases, to show the scope of these instruments, so for this one, I gave myself the rule of no drums. I use my Tempest in 90% of my videos, and I am always crafting new, quirky drum kits, so I wanted to showcase the analog side of this awesome device. It helped me to learn more about the beast, and I think the song turned out great.
Brand new album of VGM music available now! All the tracks were remixed and remastered to sound at least 5 ice cream cones better than the youtube release! Get it here: http://loudr.fm/release/vgm-vol-1/P2ZW5"

The Beatles "Ticket To Ride" cover - a duet by I Speak Machine's Tara Busch and the ARP 2600
Published on Sep 17, 2014 Tara Busch
"Sneak Preview for our show at Southbanks Centre, Sunday September 21st!
Deep in the Welsh countryside, there stands The Screeching Barn (aptly named for the owls nearby) , where this was filmed! I've been working in this loft for the past 9 months, eerie, bizarre, isolated & quite lovely.
On September 21st, I Speak Machine - the film/music collective consisting of Tara Busch & Maf Lewis will be previewing 3 sci-fi horror short films at the Southbank Centre's Purcell Room - and possibly playing this little number as well!
Buy tickets here: http://www.southbankcentre.co.uk/what...
The beautiful machine accompanying me here is the wonderful ARP 2600. I fell upon covering song this one day when I was getting my head around this glorious beast...and thought it would be quite romantic to do a "duet" with him. This, along with all the other gear I will be playing for this show was lent to me by Dave Spiers & Chris Macleod at G Force Software - gforcesoftware.com .
Hope to see you at the show...and perhaps you'll request this? x

Hinton Music Lab Multimode Filter
via noyzelab where you'll find additional pics, details and audio.
"This is quite a unique VCF module, and my Music Lab contains three of them. The filter cutoff frequency can be adjusted with ultra-precision using a 10 turn lockable potentiometer, usually only found on VCO's. The filter Q (resonance) is also switchable between normal (fully resonating) and limited. The outputs are low pass, high pass and band pass with both level and +/- phase adjustable. The inputs are duplicated to nuclear physics spec Lemo connectors which connect to the virtual earth inputs on the module, allowing input signals to be summed directly on the Pin Matrix module. Also note that two of these modules are designated ML1501, although they are actually ML1502's underneath. The ML1501 panels have a slightly different layout which includes a voltage controlled Q input, although this is not connected internally and the PCB's are all designated as ML1502."
