Dark-Ship Korg (featuring the Korg SQ-1, MS-20 mini, Volca Beats & Monotron Delay)

Published on Mar 4, 2015 HardtekStudios

"My 1st jam with the Korg SQ-1 (after I finally got it to work with the MS-20 mini). Expect to see this lil guy a lot! The Volca Beats is being filtered using the ESP of the MS-20 mini. I hope it sounds ok, the bass was a little too much for my little monitors at work, where I did the final mix down.

Early Vintage E-mu Modular Analog Synthesizer For Sale

"This is a rare (funny how often that word is used but how little it actually applies to a listing) E-mu modular, 14 module system that was custom built by a prominent musician and a PhD student. It was used in the schools music program and advanced classes in the 70's. It was purchased directly from a university many years ago and still had the university logo and inventory number on it when I took possession. It was just a sticker and I removed it. I have had this Synthesizer for a long time and was always afraid to have it serviced until I meet a true expert on E-mu modulars and tracked down some schematics. I recently had i serviced and it works and sounds fantastic

Every module was gone through by a master technician. All of the oscillators work and are some of the best sounding oscillators I have ever heard. If you follow my listings, or know me personally, you know that I have owned/sold some high end, great sounding synths.

Here is a list of the modules

Voltage controlled Oscillator 1200
Voltage controlled Oscillator 1200
Voltage controlled Oscillator 1200
Sample and Hold 1410
Universal Active Filter 1122
VCDTG 1350 (your envelope ADSR etc)
VCDTG 1350
VCDTG 1350
Pink Noise Generator
Voltage controlled filter 1100
Voltage controlled Amplifier (this is also your mixer)
Dual voltage controlled Amplifier
Multiples Pannel for CV/gate etc
Ring Modulator

The instrument measures 35x19x12

Originally all the controls were labeled with pencil but they have worn off over the years. It is pretty obvious what module is what. The cabinet is in excellent condition and is made of attractive hardwood. This is a unique instrument and in my opinion a part of synth history. Feel free to ask any questions. During my time on ebay I have sold: Minimoogs, Memorymoogs, Voyetra Eights, Jupiter Eights, DK Synergies and many more rare synths from my collection. I received positive feedback for them all. This should go to someone who is willing to do a small amount of restoration and exploration but you can really start to enjoy it right out of the box all you need is a CV and Gate signal! The Kenton Pro Solo II pictured is not included, if you need it let me know and we can work something out, a variety of patch cables are included. Please give me at least a week to get it packaged up properly, I want to make sure it arrives in one piece and that the packaging is fool proof."

"Classic 1976 semi-modular synth by Roland. The Model 101 is the heart of the System 100.
This synth has a huge sound thanks to its super snappy envelopes, discrete VCO and diode filter. It can give you those squelchy 303 like sounds if you want.

This example is in incredible condition despite being nearly 40 years old! All the sliders are super smooth and operate without any of the pops and crackles you might expect. It sounds beautiful!

The keyboard will re-trigger sometimes."

"The Kawai K5000S is a 61 key (velocity and pressure sensitive) 32 voice multitimbral synthesizer, featuring six source channels and amplitude modulation. Each source channel has an additive (64 harmonics) or PCM (122 samples) source, resonant low pass digital filter (DCF) and amp (DCA), and dedicated (4 stage) EGs for pitch, filter, and amp. Additionally, each additive source has a dedicated (128 band) formant filter (DFF), (4 stage) harmonics and filter envelopes, and DFF envelope LFO (saw/ triangle/ random waveforms). A global LFO (saw/ sine/ triangle/ square/ random waveforms), portamento, variable preset memory (256 max, unless expanded), 3.5″ DSHD (DOS format) disk drive, 4 multi-effects processors, extensive modulation capabilities, stereo sub outputs, arpeggiator (11 patterns, 10 modes), macro knobs (arpeggiator, harmonics, etc), and MIDI are also included."
