Synthrotek MST Dual Envelope Module Stereo Ping Pong Eurorack Demo

Published on Apr 7, 2015 synthrotek

The MST Dual Envelope is a simple to use yet complex dual envelope generator. Channels 1 and 2 are both normalled to each other to cycle when the other respective channel hits end of cycle, allowing for really interesting ping-pong effects. Each channel also has an end-of-cycle trigger output with LED indicator. There’s a normal and inverted envelope out. The inverted envelope out can be further modified by the +5 offset switch, which allows the inverted waveform to travel in the positive. The + output level allows the envelope signal to go between zero and the maximum voltage rail. Attenuate the output level down for a more subtle envelope (adjust to taste).

Features:

Two self-completing envelope circuits

AD or ASR selector switch per channel

Manual Attack control & Decay/Release

Output level per channel

Gate input

End-of-cycle trigger output with LED indicator

Normal & Inverted envelope output per channel

Short and long envelope length switch per channel

Long setting can be lengthened with jumper select

AD/ASR selection switch per channel

Inverted output +5 offset switch per channel

Specifications:

Current draw: V+ max 10mA, V- max 8mA

Width: 12HP"

Note this is the one in the video posted here.

"Put up for sale very rare soviet synthesizer! You can not find the same item here (on eBay) due to a very large weight: in standard complectation this synth weight 40kg and this makes it impossible to shipment (weight limit in the most of exUSSR countries is 30 kg). I have divided a bulky woody parts and optimized housing, so now weight is 22kg! The synthesizer is in good working condition. All keys and controllers work good - you can check it if you look the video bellow. Cosmetically there are some scratches on the housing (see photos). This instrument made in 1987. I sell this item without the safety case, but don't worry: I'll pack the synth very well!

The instrument consists of 4 sections: piano, that synthesizes piano's soundings of 3 timbres, string organ, that plays organ's sounding with soft attack and with the possibility to control release, with the pereodically repeated beat-fading sounds. There is a bass section, that is controlled by 2 lower octaves, that contain three 8' and two 16' registers. It plays sounding of the bass drum. Keyboard includes 60 keys and the sounding range is 5 octaves. There is a possibility to change 2 lower octaves to play a composition by separate timbre with extending sounding on 1 octave down & it's also possible to transpose the whole pitch a fifth down.

Specifications:

Main sections electropiano and strings electroorgan
Extra built-in devices universal filter ("ring-modulator","chorus"), tunning control, bass section
Extra effects separatly from every tremolo section, vibrato with delay, "repeat', combined filter control, sounding of bass drum.
pedal regulators 3 (for replaced volume control and filter's tuning, pedal)
the outlet voltage 500mV/10kOm (in the extra outlet 50mV/10kOm)
there is a possibility to connect up with headphones
Mains voltage 220V, 50Hz
power consumption, W max 35
dimensions (when it's packed), mm max 965x440x155
Weight, kg max 23
The supply voltage - 220-230V/50Hz. For 110/127V, a voltage converter is necessary.

Lline output: Jack1/4''. Power cord is included."

Sequencing the Synth Kit with the KORG SQ-1

Published on Apr 7, 2015 littleBits Electronics

littleBits on eBay | Korg SQ-1s on eBay

"To connect the SQ-1's littleBits OUT jack with the littleBits Synth Kit without the CV module, you'll need the littleBits Proto module and a mini-monaural cable.

1) Strip some insulation from the mini-monaural cable.

2) As shown in the illustration to the right, fasten the core and shield of the cable to the terminal screw of the Proto module.

3) Of the Proto module's three jumpers, remove the middle jumper.

4) Set up the littleBits circuit (one example is shown to the right), and connect the Proto module's mini-monaural cable to the SQ-1's littleBits OUT jack.

5) Press the SQ-1's START/STOP button to make the littleBits Synth Kit start playing."

Introducing Johnny - Multiwave Tremolo Effect for iPad

iTunes: Johnny - Multiwave Tremolo Effects Processor - Holderness Media

"All sounds in the music for this video are just guitar processed with Johnny, the only synths used were for bass and drums. The mix was done with a self imposed "no post processing" rule including no eq or compressors, in order to show how Johnny can be used in a musical context, with as raw of a tone as possible.

I've made the Auria project for this track available for download for anyone who wants to poke around with the mix and listen to the individual tracks to hear what Johnny is capable of.

Johnny - Multiwave Tremolo for iPad Demo (Synth)

Published on Apr 7, 2015

"A quick sloppy take for a little audio demo of Johnny processing a Roland JX-3P, just holding down a few simple chords to show some of the presets and do a little bit of tweaking."

iTunes: Johnny - Multiwave Tremolo Effects Processor

"Johnny is a highly versatile stereo multiwave tremolo effect designed for Audiobus and Inter-App Audio, perfect for adding everything from classic guitar amp style tremolo to pulsating, rhythmic multiwave modulation effects for guitar, synths, voice and more. Harmonic Tremolo modes create vintage phaser and univibe like tones, you can also modulate the rate of the main LFOs with a second LFO for interesting speed sweep effects.

In addition to Audiobus and Inter-App Audio, Johnny can process external hardware by connecting a professional USB audio interface such as the Apogee Jam or Apogee ONE, and many more compatible USB interfaces. You can also use the built in headset microphone. Guitarists can use the effects live by connecting the output of their audio interface to an amp.

Johnny supports USB MIDI interfaces via the Camera Connection kit, Bluetooth MIDI (iOS 8), Virtual MIDI and WiFi connections. The MIDI Learn function lets you easily assign your MIDI controller's knobs and sliders to control Johnny's effect parameters.
