"The absolute classic, as if you need any introduction, this Roland TR-808 has a history of its own. This drum machine lived at the now defunct Soma Recording Studios here in Chicago, and featured on many recordings made during that studio's tenure. This one has been heavily modded by Analogue Solutions in the UK, and includes a full tonal mod with hardwired box, and MIDI in, out, and thru ports. There is a switch on the back to disengage the MIDI. This machine was recently gone over by a technician, sounds great, writes programs, and all the mods are functioning. Due to the heavy modifications and a few sticky step buttons, however, this item will be sold AS IS, but we are confident that it will give you all the BOOM you need."

"The synth works perfectly, I've never had any issues with it. I bought it refurbished from Switched On Electronics store in Austin TX. At the time of purchase, it had been previously outfitted with 3 modifications:
1. The first one is an upgraded power cable. Both longer and sturdier than the original (or so I am told).
2. The second mod is an octave switch located to the left of the keyboard. The oscillators within the synth have an octave controller themselves, but this one adds versatility in functionality as well as tonality.
3. The third mod is an additional filter located opposite the aforementioned octave switch, to the right of the keyboard. It is singularly controlled but one blue knob. I have no information on the specifics of this extra filter, but once you start playing with it, it can be pretty cool.
There is a small blue symbol painted to the right of the keys. No big deal, I'm sure it could be removed with little trouble, if so inclined."

Torino Synth Meeting Set for May 28 and 29

"Today a very important news for the Torino Synth Meeting and for its sixth edition.
We have the official dates, the 2016 meeting will be held the last weekend of May, Saturday 28 and Sunday 29.
Thanks to the results obtained with the fifth edition, this year the meeting will last two days!
And this is only the first news concerning the sixth year in fact, given the demands of the public and exhibitors, this year the meeting will also host brands and manufacturers of:

For two days of music and music instruments, we selected BUNKER, historical independent cultural center run by 'Associazione Culturale Variante Bunker'
Bunker is a cultural independent space and place-active laboratory for testing a new precursor model of urban development, close to a major urban transformation of the city of Turin, which is "Variante 200”, by promoting in the same place creative ideas and public utilities functions. Born from the collaboration with the company owner Torino Quittengo, Bunker now is gered by the “Variante Bunker” Cultural Association together with “Variante Bunker Sport”. In their industrial spaces converted, both associations promote a mix of artistic and installative interventions linked to the scene of the international street art, urban gardening, sports, clubbing, experimentation and musical research.

"This is about as clean as they come. It's in beautiful, fully functional condition. A few signs of it's age, but no ugly scratches or dents anywhere. The photos show a bit of checking on the case latches, a few small smudges on the case exterior, and a small smudge of some sort near the speaker. Of the approx. 200 made, this is #154.
It's been gone over completely by Portland Custom Shop here in Portland, Oregon, and has a clean bill of health, and is ready for your sound design. It has a lot of patch cables, and a cable I had made to run from an Elektron Analog 4 CV/Gate output directly to the keyboard input."

"Up for sale is my unique sequential circuits prophet 10 synthesizer. First the bad - the previous owner professionally chopped off the second keyboard from the unit along with the old sequencer. Consider this unit two prophet 5s with the ability to stack voices and create some of the best sounding synth tracks you've ever heard.
The good - this unit was fully serviced a year ago by Three Wave Music in NJ and everything is fully working and it tunes up great. The only thing off is that the contact of the second highest B flat is not working after having not used it much over the past 6 months but this should be an extremely easy fix. I haven't been able to figure out the midi on this unit but that might just be not knowing how to get the channels set up right. Besides that she is beautiful."

Comes with a clean and seldom used flight case (also in excellent condition) and extra back-light panel (!) (This unit is still using the original backlight!) Also included is the original manual and a CD containing just about every PPG technical document ever published, along with an updated manual PDF, SYSEX libraries, schematics, etc.
Note that I have restored all the original patches using the original SYSEX file. This is as close to a brand new unit as you'll find.
The unit is fully 100% functional and has been upgraded to the latest v.8.3 OS chips from Virtual Music..."

BoB SwanS - Prophet 12 Demo Track
"This is the first track i made that is created using sounds entirely created on the DSI Prophet 12 Module. Its about 2 years old but i never bothered posting it, so here it is.
The drums are sampled from the P12 into Ableton and dropped into a drum rack with some processing. The other synth parts are multitracked."
