Sample & Hold In A Eurorack Modular Synth

Published on May 24, 2016 Voltage Control Lab

"An important synthesis technique, Sample & Hold takes a variable or alternating current, such as an LFO or noise, and (as the name suggests) takes a sample of that incoming voltage and holds it.

Deep Ambient Stereo Music (w/ OP-1, iPad Crystalline & Eurorack Modular Synth) #TTNM

Published on May 24, 2016 The Tuesday Night Machines

"Got out the OP-1, the awesome Crystalline reverb iPad app and the Bastl Rumburak Eurorack Modular Synth for some deeeeep ambient music.

The Eurorack patch is just two of the Bastl GrandPa's stock samples plus some noise, with stereo modulation from the Errorinstruments Hard Candy and Bastl CV Trinity through the Quattro Figaro VC Panner and ABC stereo mixer.

The OP-1 is also patched into the ABC mixer form where the stereo audio sum goes into the iPad Air 2 Crystalline reverb app, via a Behringer UCA-202 USB audio interface. Using the Audiobus app, I send the audio from the input, through Crystalline to AudioShare, where it's recorded.

Questions or comments? Go ahead and post them below! :) Thanks for watching! Check out my channel for more Synthesizer Music.

Audio gear used:
- Teenager Engineering OP-1 digital wonder synth
- Apple iPad Air 2 w/ Audiobus, Crystalline reverb and AudioShare apps
- Bastl Instruments big Rumburak Eurorack modular synth w/ 2x GrandPa, CV Trinity, Quattro Figaro, 2x Cinnamon, Errorinstruments Hard Candy, etc

Another Moog Prodigy Restoration (by Synthpro) & New Expansion Pedal in the Works

Published on May 24, 2016 synthpro

Note at 2:40 he mentions a new expansion pedal he is working on.

"Hi everyone,

This is another sick prodigy that now has a new look on life, it was in very rough shape when I got it but now sings great.

The wood was spray painted black and oscillator 2 had a tracking issue.

The oscillator issue was a bad current source, it was holding temp but the actual voltage to current conversion circuits were too weak to deliver the needed current to drive the oscillator correctly.

Now all is well as you can see and really proud with the outcome.

Thanks for watching,
Jareth"
