"0HP Vactrol based circuits take advantage of an outdated part to rough the edges of your sound. Both the Vactrol Low Pass Gate and the Vactrol Voltage Controlled Amplifier modulate the amplitude of a signal under voltage control, but the VCA does so with minimal alteration to the sound whereas the LPG filters the sound to give it some extra oomph.

Knobs, encoders, display (the odd blur on the edges in the photo is from camera, not synth - display is clear) and buttons are smooth and working well. Notice the lack of rack rash and other blems."

The set-up includes the Sequential Circuits Pro One, Emu Drumluator, Roland Juno 60, Ensoniq ESQ1 and Yamaha DX7 MkII, all controlled from an original Apple Macintosh running the sequencer software with sync from an audio track on the Fostex R8.
