Octatrack MKII meets Yamaha FS1R and Analog Heat

"The Octatrack provides 4 channels of MIDI sequencing to the FS1R using different step lengths, time signatures and probabilities. The audio is routed back in to the Octatrack where probability resampling and playback happens. All sounds comes from the FS1R. The main out of the Octatrack goes in to the Analog Heat for additional distortion and equalization."

"I just recently performed with an amazing artist collective in Oakland at an event called Synthestesia. 3 musicians using modular synths play improvised music to 3 different visual film artists using a 16mm film projector The artists do 15 minute round robin sets. I performed with both Eurorack and on the Buchla Music Easel. I had intended on recording the perromance but didn't end up doing it as planned.

The next morning I recreated one of my patches to the best of my ability. Luckily I had saved the quantized sequences in Rene so I was able to recreate one of my 15 minute sets pretty accurately.

"Recorded this jam today. One take, just having fun with textures and whatnot. Used my raspberry pi fm touch synth and my pi looper (version 2). Going to do a video eventually on v2 of the pi looper. Lots more features and it's in a nice wood box!"

"Koma Elektronik lent me a prototype Field Kit FX and their new power solution for mobile music making. I took them all out to the Tempelhofer Flugfeld for some outdoors music making.

Preliminary specs on the power thingie:
Two independent power lines with the following specs:
-adjustable voltage for each line (9V or 12V)

maximum output current:
~1,2A @ 9V (up to ~2,4 A with two power banks)
~0,9A @ 12V (up to ~ 1,8 A with two power banks)
Those output currents correspond to 2.4A @ 5V at the input, which is the maximum output current of most power banks.

Input current consumption displayed with an LED Bar. Allows to safely use power banks with various output currents.

"This patch is for my little son who turned three years today. Happy birthday my little boy - you are my everything! Thanks for three wonderful and such amazing years filling my heart with pure love. And as you use to say "hutzi auf mallorca - isla de l'a ..." this patch is done by your proud father. When i close my eyes i can truely see you grabbing your child guitar and start hitting the strings with your fist while you shout out some kids tunes ... i slowly but strongly start to realize there is nothing bigger in life than watching you growing up. Ohana!

Onetake recorded eurorack modular patch. Octatrack supports the patch with some pre recorded chord samples from the dsi tetra (off camera). Somehow this patch is a test drive of the manhattan analog svvcf filter.
