0-Coast/SH-01A - Warm and the Winter

"Short patch using the SH-01A sequencer to sequence the 0-Coast via CV/Gate. I'm then using the random output to trigger the clock input of the SH-01A sequencer so the notes trigger at random, thus, the sequencer is acting more like a poor mans quantizer.
The 0-Coast patch goes through an H9 delay and then that stereo track gets dipped in some hall from UAD's 224 with the sound toys phaser also in the chain to soften some transients!
I overdubbed a 'pad' from the SH01A through a blackhole preset on the H9 and then also ran that through the stereo 224 bus!"

"'Six' with Roland Jupiter 6
Thanks to Nick's Sonic State video I wanted to record a tune with just the Jupiter 6 and no effects. First I used the arpeggio feature for the BASS line. Next I added some strings swells. Then I added another set of arpeggios on top. Finally, I recorded the solo line. The footage is from our trip last summer. Thanks for watching. Please leave feedback, share, and subscribe. "This installation operates on unique batteries that generate electricity using my blood. The electric current produced by the batteries powers a small electronic algorithmic synth module. This module creates generative sound composition that plays via a small speaker. The blood used in the installation was stored up gradually over 18 months. The conservation included a number of manipulations to preserve the blood’s chemical composition, color, homogeneity and sterility to avoid bacterial contamination. The total amount of blood conserved was around 4.5 liters; it was then diluted to yield 7 liters, the amount required for the installation. The blood was diluted with distilled water and preservatives such as sodium citrate, antibiotics, antifungal agents, glucose, glycerol etc. The last portion of blood (200ml) was drawn from my arm during the performance presentation, shortly before the launch of the installation.

Can be easier edited via a computer with the free editor / patch librarian: JAX’8P V.2.1.0
There are twelve oscillators that are digitally controlled which means that they stay in tune, and give the JX8P a silky smooth sound.
The six filters are all analog, and feature a unique configuration that was designed by Roland to have a smooth character.
The analog sound engine features two envelope generators, cross mod, sync, and can be layered in a unison mode (4 osc per key, 3 note poly) or mono (12 osc per key, mono).
The MIDI implementation is the main feature of the JX8P that makes it so much greater than other polysynths such as the JX3P or Juno range."

"A quick test drive of my newly acquired Cirklon... A simple 1 bar loop with a fair amount of wiggling :)
Setup:
- AJH Minimod System with Dual LFO's and DH-ADSRs
- Oberheim Two Voice Pro
- Make Noise B&G Shared System
- DSI Tempest
- Eventide H9 effects pedal with Blackhole Reverb...
Recorded in 1 pass with no additional effects other than a touch of reverb on the Tempest.

"This is THE fattest sounding (and most accurate) recreation of the vintage Model D. It is based on the legendary RA Moog transistor VCOs from the late 1960s used in the Moog modulars. Only around 300 very early vintage Model D's used these VCOs. Moreover, as part of the package you also get the Dual LFO & VCA module providing 2 free running LFO's that can be sync'd together!
The KB37 is a fantastic case with normalized pitch/gate connections from the Keybed to the VCOs reducing overall cable clutter. Built from metal, it is very sturdy and comes with full Midi In/Out and Midi over USB. It also has line outs and an on-board arpeggiator, clock, glide and note priority features with ZERO menu diving.
