Behringer D vs. Roland SE 02 Comparison - Oscillators and Filter - No talking
Published on Feb 19, 2018 Earmonkey Music
"No talking. Just sound. I switched between the Behringer Model D and the Roland SE-02 to give some idea of what the two sound like next to each other. I tried to be touching the synth I'm manipulating so you can tell what is what in the video. My conclusions? I will do another video about that."
Behringer D vs MiniMoog Model D Reissue - Synth Shootout (& the Roland SE-02)

Do they sound the same??! - MiniMoog Model D - VS - Roland SE-02 video below.
"After finally receiving the Behringer D or Model D that was preordered way way back in June 2017 it finally arrived yesterday! To kick things off I wanted to do a Synth Shootout vs the real deal, a Moog MiniMoog Model D Reissue! I have pulled out the MiniMoog's user manual and configured a few patches on both synthesizers and played some tunes. Please forgive me, I'm not the greatest live synth player, but I thought this might be cool to line these synths up so to speak let folks hear what it sounds live vs the real thing.
For those who don't know what all of the fuss is about, the MiniMoog Model D is one of the most famous synthesizers of all time, it's quite expensive. Recently Moog Music reissued this iconic synth after many years of being out of production for a cost of around $3,500.00 USD. All good right? That had my attention and I was able to pick one up, but then about a year or so ago Uli Behringer made several posts referring to a possible Behringer version of the MiniMoog. Then came some pix of what one might look like and it about broke the internet when the Behringer D might cost around $300.00 USD! That's around 1/10th the cost of the new reissue from Moog. So yeah there was some interest in this thing.
Personally I think for the price the Behringer D does a pretty good job, but please realize that with synthesizers like this you can spend hours dialing in these patches, which I did :) but given more time it may be possible to get these to sound even closer than they do in this video."
Do they sound the same??! - MiniMoog Model D - VS - Roland SE-02

"Tonight I do a quick comparison with the 1st bank of oscillators on the Moog MiniMoog Model D and the new Roland SE-02. Both synths are 3 Oscillator mono synths. For this shootout I will be going though Triangle, Shark tooth, Saw, Square, Pulse 1 and Pulse 2 on both synths. There is an A|B comparison of the waveforms and then a quick check of the filters while using the Shark tooth.
Let me know what you think.. do they sound the same? which do you prefer?
Thanks for watching!"

All sounds are from the Analogue Solutions Treadstone analogue minisynth. Layered in DAW.
This synth can make simple yet powerful raw sounds (as in this demo) or full on freaky delay analogue madness (see other videos).

"AJH Synth MiniMod REVIEW and Demo. Eurorack Modular Synth based on MiniMoog Model D with added features.
I spent time with the AJH Synth Mini Mod System of Eurorack Modules to test its features, create a few modular synth patches and get hands-on for this Eurorack Modular Review Video.
I also made a quick layered-track recording of a song with all sounds coming from the MiniMod System.
In this video review I go over all the Mini Mod System ‘extra’ features that AJH Synth added to this ‘Moog Model D based’ eurorack synth. Is this the ultimate eurorack modular system or did they mess things up?
See Video Review Index Below
Towards the end of this Description I have included links to some of my other reviews of AJH Synth Mini Mod Modules and additional AJH Synth Eurorack Modules featured in this video.

BURG - when kings were mountains (modular, morphagene, avalon bassline)

"If you like my stuff please support me on http://music.ollilab.com/ and https://www.patreon.com/theBURG
I wanted to take my modular system out for a spin with the Avalon bassline in a minimal polyrhythmic jam, this is what happened. :)
The Avalon Bassline, of course does the square bass, on this I also have the CSIDMAN from catalinbread for some glitchy madness + a simple short plate reverb from the strymon bluesky.
The modular has two signal paths, one with percussion passing through the Keeley Caverns, treated with some delay and reverb. The main sound sources is the Peaks, doing kick and snare..snare being fed through the uVCF for for modulated HPF with a slight bit of resonance. Sequenced by beatstep pro.
BIA takes care of some hihat/percussive sounds on the top, modulated by PAM / LFO's / Gates, and sequenced by beatstep pro.
The second signal path passes trought he RE-20 (tape delay + EQD tranmisser modulater reverb which i pull in from time to time)
The morphagene has a piano sample that i recorded in my computer using NI una corda vst, smashed and trashed to pieces in the MG. For starters it goes in reverse, with several slice points which are being scrubbed start/end point with modulation + that the organize is also being modulated. (LFO from expert sleepers + Tides)
MI braids does the "normal" sequence 3xSAW, passing through the Ripples which act both VCA and filter, envelope from the maths controls both the filter and VCA at the same time.. sort of LPG but not really.
Rings does what the rings does does, modulated slightly by the PAM to give it some irregular movements.
Current modular rack: https://www.modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/445007
Gear used: Abstrakt Instruments Avalon BassLine
FX used: Strymon bluesky, EQD tranmisser, RE-20, keeley caverns, catalinbread CSIDMAN
Hope you will enjoy it!
BooOooM!"
