"This is a fantastic example of Moog’s classic 1970’s Prodigy synthesiser, in great working order. The wooden ends have been stripped at some point in its history to reveal an attractive lighter non varnished finish. It is in full working order and has only just had a full service."

This particular Sequential Circuits Prophet-5 has just been fully serviced, and had the latest firmware installed in it. It has the JLCooper patch mod, and an upgraded Oberheim pitch wheel with an auto-centre, meaning this really is a fantastic example of an original Prophet 5."

"Serial #0250. Excellent example of this classic two voice synth. No sequencer on this one. Clean mods were added to this in it's past for the additional controls on the back:

CV 1 IN
Gate 1 IN
Filter 1 IN
Filter 2 IN

There are also two switches added to the front panel to enable/disable SEM 1 and SEM 2 completely.

This synth sounds amazing and has just been expertly cleaned, calibrated, and serviced [including jwires and buss bar]"

An update via Teenage Engineering:

"no one should pay this price for an OP-1 [one bid up to $8600 pictured]. so hang in there.

last week a rumour circulated that the OP-1 was dead. no one was more surprised than us.

however, we've been working hard on updating the hardware platform in order to keep the product alive for many years to come. this is causing a brief stop in the production, but we will be up and running at full speed shortly."

Curious what the hardware update will be. One thing that always concerned me was how long the internal battery might last over time. Anyone know?
