Doepfer Dark Energy Mk1 pcb view and alternative position for Glide modification

Published on Dec 30, 2018 Vykaar Tones

"Doepfer Dark Energy Mk1 dismantled pcb view and alternative position for Glide modification. I only got around to fit the glide mod when I had to take the main board out to fix the envelope generator which would randomly fail to trigger ( I replaced a intermittently faulty BC547 transistor ). The Doepfer suggested positioning for the glide pot is on the front side but as you can see I prefer to use it standing on that side so I found space on the back panel (top). A note for the adventurous - if you do ever have to dismantle one of these note that the nuts on the front panel sockets are different to the ones on the back panel and will chew up the plastic if mixed up."

Daft Punk Synth Tutorial

"This week I thought I'd demo three Daft Punk synth sounds / samples on original hardware.

As these are all VCO-based analogue synths that are the best part of 40 years old, you'll probably find that settings vary slightly from one unit to the next. In fact, the settings vary on a daily basis on my own synths, depending upon temperature or how long they've been switched on etc.

Modular Performance :: Flight :: Buchla 200e Skylab

Published on Dec 29, 2018 Mike Thomas

"I'm using all the individual oscillators available to me here (a grand total of four, since there are two complex oscillators -- the 259e and 261e). While I'm using them as individual voices, the modulation oscillators are also modulating the main oscillator (pitch/FM on the 259e and timbre on the 261e). This modulation is being affected by position on the main keys as well as the X/Y pads of the K-controller.

Musical parts are controlled by the 251e providing a trio of very short sequences selected by the K-controller, a "split" setup of the K-controller's long keys, for the hand-played bass and melody parts, and an arpeggio controlled by the K-controller's arpeggiator.

Obviously I need to work on this a bit more to get timing and movement down. I'm also hampered a bit here from time to time by the fact that as I play my hands get a bit sweatier and this causes some stiction on the keys the longer I go. That's not going to change, so I just need to learn how to deal with it.

Behringer DeepMind 6 Ambient ARPs & Tweaks Analog Synthesizer Rik Marston

"Behringer DeepMind 6 Ambient ARPs & Tweaks
Synthesizer Demo by Rik Marston
**Watch in HD** **Turn it UP!!!**

Yes the Behringer DeepMind 6 is back!!!!
I seriously am thinking about putting the
Behringer DeepMind series in the top of
my list for synth recommendations of 2018.
I know they came out a few years back but
Behringer really is doing a great job making
clones & custom synthesizers. That BARP
Odyssey looks FANTASTIC! Sounds GREAT!
If you know me & this channel you know how
much I LOVE the ARP Odyssey & love the
KARP Odyssey! Anyway this video is me
playing some slow bass lines, ARPs &
crazy alien modulated leads on the DM6.
...God, I love this synthesizer! So flexible!
Great effects!! Get one if you get a great
deal because they are already cheaper
than their original introduction prices. ;)
Thank you for watching!
