Sequential Circuits Prophet VS Vintage Vector Synthesizer

Published on Feb 7, 2019 Perfect Circuit

"The Prophet VS was one of the most peculiar Sequential Circuits designs: to learn more about it, check out our overview here: https://www.perfectcircuit.com/articl.... As the first synthesizer that implemented Vector Synthesis, it is capable of sounds very much unlike the analog and traditional wavetable synthesizers of the era—intense arpeggiations, patch randomization, and complex envelopes surround a synthesis engine based on mapping timbre as a two-dimensional space.

"Sequential Prophet T8 polyphonic synthesizer in great shape. A rare beast, only 350 units were made. This is #0043.

The T8 was recapped, the power supply rebuilt and all pots cleaned in January of 2019. The keyboard received new balance & front rail punchings and key rest foam less than a year ago. The unit is fully functional, sounds amazing, and is a joy to play!"

"I inherited this Extremely Rare (#388 of Only 650 Ever Made) Instrument and it is still in incredible condition despite being roughly 40 years old. The Wood Body is in amazing shape, the brass Face, Back, and Plate on the backside of the Scroll (reads #388) are still shiny and lustrous. It still plays incredibly well and comes with the Original Black Case and Authenticated Paperwork / Warranty Documents. Every Feature that it was designed to include still works wonderfully and despite a small area of wear on the Blue Foam Speaker material, you'd think it was kept in a time capsule since released in '79. Models that have sold over the last few years, that have higher Model #'s and are in not as good of condition, have sold for between $1,200 and nearly $4,000. Everything operates well..."

Folktek Omnichord (No Talking, Explanation in the Description)

Published on Feb 7, 2019 Stefano Bertoli

"First session with Omnichord modified by Folktek, alone with a simple reverb from MR12.
I play the different instrument rows, there are four, one by one, with and without the modifiers: copper tongues placed right below the omnichord
chords section, that deeply influence the sound of each instrument.

00:00 First row (lowest one): a sweet organ like instrument capable of deep lows and flute-like highs

02:24 Second row (right above the Omnichord chord section): a "vibrato" synth voice deeply influenced by both modifiers and by rhythm
tempo knob as you can hear at 04:01

04:32 Third row: the first half (left side) is a rhythm composer, more keys you press more complex you add to the rythm. Second
half (right side) is a sort of bass sound generator.

06:33 Fourth row: an harmonium generator, breathy and nasal as it is supposed to be.

08:31 Of course it still does work like an original Omnichord"
