OMEGA 8 Analog, Polyphonic Synthesizer by Studio Electronics *SOUND DEMO* 1
Published on Jun 18, 2019 Mikael Johnston
"Playing through some of the presets on my analog, polyphonic, "Omega 8" synthesizer by Studio Electronics, which is similar to the SE Code 8. In spite of it being used by artists such as Daft Punk, Depeche Mode & Dr. Dre it's relatively unknown. This synth is a beast!
This was recorded with a little external reverb and delay but other than that the sounds are stock presets."
I was curious if Mikael Johnston had been featured on the site before. Turns out he was featured in this 2014 post: Tom Oberheim Demonstrates the Two-Voice Synth.

Two GR11 VCOs are used here, one VCF GR21 and supplemented with the CATCH ADSR AB.
In the first fragment, the SYNC IN of the first VCO is linked to the TRI OUT of the second VCO. For the other fragments, the PWM IN of the first VCO is linked to the SUB out of VCO two."

Trent P. McDonald - Realistic MG-1 / Modular Test
Published on Apr 25, 2016 Trent P. McDonald
"My first synthesizer was a Realistic MG-1. Yes, Radio Shack, but also Moog! In the last couple of weeks I've been using it with my (mostly dotcom) modular. In this little test I used the sounds Oscillators and Noise source from the MG-1 through the filters, envelopes, etc of the modular. Very simple patches to sound kind of like a mini and very simple tune I used to play on the MG-1 back in the mid-1980s! I hope you enjoy this (new) blast from the past"
