Tama Techstar TAM500 - 80's Analog Drum Synth Sounds
"This is an analog drum voice module from 1985, meant to be used with Tama Techstar electronic drum kits. Here I am triggering it with drum gates from an Arturia Beatstep Pro. I've also successfully used it with homemade piezo triggers on a drum kit.

Testing Arturia PolyBrute for Trancy Techno Track.
Sound Provider
"Small demo of the Arturia Polybrute Polyphonic Analog Synth on a Basic Techno /Trance-y Track here.
Originally I did this to test the presets I created for Arturia, to check if they could be used as they are, we all already found some amazing presets impossible to place in a song.
For this exercise I mixed this song differently than a "normal" song:
Even if I used some EQs and compressors, I used them a lot more lightly to avoid denaturing too much the sound of the PolyBrute, I didn't use any effects other than those of the Synthesizer (reverb/delay and modulation), I also played everything by hand in one shot without doing any edits.
The result is a bit rough but I think it's ok to give an idea .
For the sounds of this demo come from the Synthetiser except the Kick which comes from the Sound Bank I made for Sound Provider: "Techno kick now" ( Sp Techno Kick 130Bpm 01 ) and 2 loops of HiHat which comes at 0:36,1:20 and 2:35 which come from "Techno hi-hat now". (Sp Techno HH 130 Bpm Full 03 / Sp Techno HH 130 Bpm Off Beat 05 )
You can always go on the site ( https://www.sound-provider.eu/ )to listen to their demos and why not buy them for your tracks (and also support us ❤😉)
All the other sounds come from the PolyBrute:
Bass, Pad, Horn, Arp, Bouncing Lead, Wobble bass, First HH/percu, Noise Fx.
Voila
Leonard de Leonard"
Arturia KeyStep 37 Chords with Scale Quantizer Demo (Feat Novation Peak Synth & Boss DD-8 Delay)
Sound Provider
Update: moved this post up as I had a typo in the video ID. It should play now.
"After my video about the "One finger Chord" with Arturia KeyStep 37 controller & Sequencer Keyboard ( below ) some people asked me how the keyboard manages chords with the scale quantizer , because doing maj 7 (for exemple) on every key is cool (and lot of good house or rave tracks we were made that way) but most of the time it's better to have chords that fit with the scale you use.
So I did this quick exemple , hope it can help some of you.
Little reminder, on Chord mode you can choose 12 differents chords type and on the Scale Quantizer you can choose between Chromatic /Major/Minor/Blues and User Scale.
For this video I also use the Novation Peak Synth and the Boss DD-8 delay.
Voila.
Leonard de Leonard"
Easy Chords with one finger with Arturia "KeyStep 37" (Feat Novation Peak Synth)
"Quick test of the Chord feat from the "Arturia KeyStep 37" The new Arturia 37 keyboard controller and Sequencer.
For this test the Arturia Keyboard control my Novation Peak Synthesizer."

Mountaintop Motel (Ron Di Iulio Cover) by Everett Dudgeon (Prophet X)
EverettDudgeon138
"Mountaintop Motel Massacre is truly an underrated horror flick. It has elements of Psycho, Misery, and even some classic Old Dark House moments.
The score by Ron Di Iulio is minimalistic and creepy. I sounds like the score is completely synthesized and my guess is an ARP Odyssey or Minimoog was used with possibly some type of string machine.
I went with a bit more of an acoustic approach using the Prophet X. The main melody is sequenced with some samples of a music box and also some creepy children vocals "La" This gives a creepy childish innocence which perfectly represents the main character Evelyn. There some brooding filter sweeps behind everything symbolizing something evil lurking beneath the surface.
Then suddenly another female vocal starts doing another melody overtop which is soon joined by a Theremin-like synth.
All in all I'm quite proud of this one, as simple as it is.

"In the special episode of Synth Quest, I present the origin of FM Synthesis and the Yamaha DX7. Special thanks to Dr. John Chowning and Mr. Hiro Kato for setting my course to research this story. I consider the research in this video as the tip of the iceberg. If anyone has additional photos, information, or prototype examples, please let me know so I can update this video.

Waldorf Micro-Wave 1 SN 9131802 with Access Programmer

"If you are reading this you might already know how gorgeous the Curtis filters in the Micro-Wave 1 sound... Both the Waldorf Micro-Wave 1 (OS 2.0) and the Access Microwave Programmer have been in storage for 15 years. They were in mint condition when I bought them about 18 years ago and were only lightly used. They are in excellent cosmetic condition with very minor dings and scratches (see photos). The manuals are included. Note: I don't actually know if the Micro-Wave 1 is Rev A (Curtis CEM 3389) or Rev B (Curtis CEM 3387). It has the black on green display, dark blue faceplate (looks grey in photos) and black case of Rev A but the rotary encoder (24 ticks per revolution) of Rev B. If it makes a difference to you let me know and I'll open up the case and find out."
