Polivoks Mini -Filter Drone
PaulLawlerMusic
"Testing the Polivoks Mini. The filter sounds authentic to my ears from the limited time I had with an original. I do think it misses the 2nd oscillator though, the sub helps but it misses the extra weight from a detuned 2nd oscillator in my opinion."

Alesis QCard Description:
"Classical Instruments Plus"
The Alesis Classical Instruments Plus QCard contains hundreds of carefully recorded 16-bit samples that are completely compatible with all Alesis QuadraSynth and QS Series synthesizers. With its innovative self-referencing design, this card is 100% plug-and-play. Since the instrumental samples on this QCard are multisampled at high sampling rates, many with vibrato played by renowned symphonic musicians, the instruments maintain their authentic tonal characteristics uniformly across the keyboard. By combining these rich, high-quality instruments with those already in your Alesis synth, you get all the voices you need for your finest recordings and performances.
This collection of authentic classical instruments begins with a selection of solo and ensemble strings. Every section size from chamber groups to lush legato cello sections is covered for a wide variety of musical styles. All of the families in the orchestra are included, from rich brass to warm woodwinds to a selection of percussion instruments. Even pipe organs, choirs, synthesizers and a piano have been added for your most dynamic classical and film score orchestrations.
The Classical Instruments Plus QCard contains 128 Programs and 100 multitimbral Mixes."

wotatwaat
"A modified Roland TR-707 with custom eproms. This adds 8 banks of sounds. There is also pitch control for the instruments with CV. Some bends as well. Jamming with the Dinsync RE-303. Here an LFO is modulating a couple of the 707 instrument pitches."

Halloween (1978) - Opening Theme (Movie Version) Cover
KOSmusic
"This is my cover of one of John Carpenter's most famous horror themes: Halloween (1978) - Opening Theme (Movie Version).
I have always loved this music composed of piano sound and John Carpenter's unmistakable synths, that make it truly one of a kind and perfectly suited for a movie that has to keep in suspense!
To get as close as possible to the nuances of the original piano, I chose not to use the MIDI sequencer but to record it live to give it greater expressiveness, a slight irregularity (in particular at the beginning of the track where the piano increases the speed and then stabilizes) and realism.
I used the CS1x sounds for the synth sound that plays along with the piano (starting at minute 0:15) and the "saw" string sound which starts from minute 1:19."
