"Very hard to find in this cosmetic condition. It's the best-sounding drum machine IMO. The sound is very reminiscent of EMS synthi."

"Sounds gorgeous, for me, it's the best 'preset' analog monophonic synthesizer, due to its versatility and multimode filter (missing in the older brother SY-1)."

"Roland Promars Compuphonic Analog Mono Synthesizer

This synth sounds incredible!

If you're looking for the classic sounds of the 70's this will do it.

It has a mean low end and it's incredible for leads.

It has a new memory battery installed so you can save patches.

Everything works as it should and it's in good physical condition.

Some dents and dings but nothing immediately noticeable."

Hauntology Techno with a Soviet Wire Recorder

video upload by HAINBACH

"I realize I am obsessed with the tone of old recording equipment such as tape and wire recorders, because it adds a feeling of 'realness': instruments or voices sound like news broadcasts, interrogation room recordings or nature documentaries. It is like moving things into a past they never had, creating something new in the process. The MN61 wire recorder adds that sound to the main Juno60 line here, as well as other instruments.
You can have a go at this sound in a rather post-modern capitalist twist by buying my plugin 'Wires', an emulation of the MN61: https://www.audiothing.net/effects/wires"

VAI 40 : Solton Disco 64

video upload by Vintage Audio Institute Italia

"Another video of this rare bird - the Solton Disco 64.
This is one take and two overdubs if we remember correctly - it's really fun and easy to improvise on and then use the same machine to do overdubs - you can play the sections as monophonic / polyphonic synthesizers as well as having the auto-accompaniment generating the sounds.
The sounds themselves might not be the most interesting, but the complete sum of its parts makes for a fun instrument, and external effects do help as well.
This was the predecessor of the Solton Programmer 24 and some of the sounds and the drum machine is featured in the the first model Solton Polyvox as well."

You can find additional Solton Disco 64 posts here.

John Carpenter - Escape From New York (Agile Kind Mix)

video upload by Paul Louth

"I got my Prophet 10 a few hours ago, this is a test of what it can do with a score that was well known for using the original Prophet 5. I didn't try to recreate the sounds exactly, this is more aggressive than the original, but it shows off the synth more. I played around with the vintage setting on the various sounds to get that melancholic, detuned, and organic sound that the original Prophet 5 was well known for.

It was mixed pretty quickly, so it's probably a bit muddy, but still this sounds great for a few hours of playing around."
