"Classic 40 year-old Oberheim OB-8 in great condition with original manual included. 2 years ago I had the "OB-XA MOD" done on it by a synth technician which gave it a bit more low-end, but I've never owned a Xa, so I do not know how comparable it is to it. The OB-8 also has factory MIDI and the Page 2 functions have been labeled. It also has a Gooseneck light connection that the original owner had installed. I also purchased a new Fatar keyboard by a Swedish company that makes them for the OB-8. The new Fatar keyboard is not installed yet in the photos, but will be installed in Philadelphia at the synth service shop."

"All features and functions of this synth are working very nicely and it sounds wonderful. When we received this synth we very much expected it to be buggy and to require some servicing and updating and the usual sweep of replacing worn components. After giving a thorough internal and external cleaning, we found that the unit operated consistently even after multiple power up and down cycles over several weeks. The fan on this is the original and it causes some light vibration. Being that it has been working nicely we decided that "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". While we cannot say it has been serviced or "Future-proofed", we can say it is currently working great and sounds great. The new owner can decide on whether to put some expense into servicing it or not."
