Flight of Harmony Famine
video uploads by flightofharmon
via Flight of Harmony (pre-orders open): don't miss the disclaimer below.
Famine is a voltage-controlled power starvation module, a teasing taste of electronic death – with the ever-present threat of the real thing. Your system will squeal, stutter, fuzz, and shriek, in new ways as you torture it while discovering the sublime joys of Schadenfreude.
Famine is capable of handling 1.5A, enough for an entire busboard of modules.
All/Split:
• In the All position, positive and negative rails track together using the All/+V knob and CV input and the -V knob and CV input are ignored.
• In the Split position, positive and negative are separated and controlled from their respective knob and CV input.
Crush/Wrack:
• In the Crush position, positive and negative mirror each other, i.e., +5V & -5V, +6V & -6V.
• In the Wrack position, positive and negative track inversely, i.e., 0v & -10V, +1V & -9V, +8V & -2V, etc.
Starve/Feed:
Starve position to starve, Feed position to bypass circuit entirely.
L.E.D.s
The LEDs indicate the level of starvation and glow brightest at 0V output.
Notes:
• Most effective on analog systems. Since digital is based on the principle of either on or off, there’s not much to play with there. Systems with bootup periods are particularly annoying.
• NO RELAYS, GAUGES, MOTORS, FANS, OR OTHER INDUCTIVE SYSTEMS.
Disclaimer:
Famine may destroy your system. Voltage starvation is a largely unstudied technique and the dangers it poses are not well known or understood, but range from general malfunction to actual fire and catastrophic failure. Any use of this module is entirely at your own risk.
DO NOT USE with inductive or electromechanical systems. Inductive kickback has been verified to be responsible for module failure – and was the only type of module to have been observably damaged in our testing so far.
Synthwave Track #2 - DSI OB-6 Synth Solo (Work in progress)
video upload by NGC0 Music
"I've been working on this track, and decided to quickly record an OB-6 jam with my classic OB-6 lead sound. I'm using mainly the OB-6 and the Matriarch."

[spaghettification] AtomoSynth Koe_M6 live performance.
video upload by atomolab
"Hello World. this track is called Spaghettification, it was recorded live in one take, using the AtomoSynth Koe_M6 semi modular synthesizer (arpeggio), and the iPad (drums and bass line)."
S-CAT FILTER-PHASE with ROLAND TR-909
video upload by Space Cat Audio Technologies
"Running the TR-909 L/R into both sides, switching between stereo and Link (Dual Mono) with Low Pass Filter engaged. This allows independent channel filtering or equal balanced filtering. Pre-order now, ships in around 8 weeks. Pre-order closes end of July 2022."
OB-X8 Sound Demo - By INHALT
video upload by Oberheim Official
"OB-X8 sound demo by INHALT. Programmed, played and recorded by Matia Simovich / INHALT at Infinite Power Studios. The OB-X8 was recorded straight into Pro Tools HD and no post processing or FX were added. What you're hearing is the raw synth.

Arcane Firmware Update - 3 Jams Snippets
video upload by SPHERICAL SOUND SOCIETY
"So Im updating the ARCANE firmware. Now the buttons do some byte operations directly to the registers of the Yamaha chip, making the thing way more playable in a logical or musical way. I have also tweak the ranges of the pots and added a totally new feature to the 'sequence' pot that I will document when its ready
Here I have some audio jams recorded in better quality in soundcloud:
The firmware update will be free for existing ARCANE users and new units will ship with it.
/*/*/*/*/*
ARCANE is a generative synth that lies somewhere between a synth, a sequencer and a drum machine, depending on how you interact with it.
It is based on an authentic Yamaha YM2413 FM chip; the one used in some arcade coin ops, MSX and in the japanese version of the Sega Master System.
To control it it has 6 potentiometers and 3 buttons. The pots are:
-Tempo. It controls the tempo/speed
-Base Register. It determines if the machine is more musical or glichy
-Intensity. The higher this pot, the more amount of notes and percusions sounding. This is a veru playable way of alter the generative composition by transitioning between the simple and complex sound explorations
-Sequence. It let you browse between sequences.
-Dispersion. the higher this pot, the most registers that we are writing on the chip, so the sequences get more complex and chaotic
-Combination. It multiplex, demultiplex and recombines sequences, keeping the output related but always fresh and different
It has 3 buttons, Left, Right and Reset. Reset is located in the arduino and is self explanatory. Left and Right buttons are to be determined as the firmware is still in development.
It has Clock In and Clock Out so you can synch it with external gear
It comes fully assembled and ready to play.
You can get assembled units, kits and PCBs at:
