Modal Mysteries: Increasing Ambition

video upload by Modal Electronics

"Our First Modal Mystery Melody is based on a popular indie game that featured a soundtrack exclusively from UK-based indie label Ghostly Digital. One of Michna's entries features a dreamy string pad with a long release tail and a touch of white noise, giving it a relaxed and airy mood. This episode features the build of that lead on COBALT8."

Ableton Live style sequencing with GROUND CONTROL: live, save, preparing your live performance

video upload by Endorphin.es

"In the following video we explain how to prepare and afterwards switch the patterns on the GROUND CONTROL using live pattern mode which is similar to grid-style session-view sequencing in Ableton Live.
Having patterns preparing in a proper manner will ensure your flawless performance and as a result - success on stage."

"Here is a vintage Simmons Digital Clap Trap. It’s new, unused, in its original box with the manual.

These are amazing little clap generator synths with a ton of adjustments."

"The instrument is fully functional, has not been repaired or regenerated, all parts are factory-made, I suppose it has never been opened. A few paint rubs around the Masters section. All switches, effects react properly, the keyboard works flawlessly, in the past only one owner, the instrument was used stationary, it was not brought to the concert tours."

Two Analog King Synths - Jupiter-8 and Memorymoog

video upload by Espen Kraft

"Analog synthesizers are sometimes a lot of fun to mess around with. The Roland Jupiter-8 and Memorymoog are two of those that work nicely together. I was going for sort of desert landscape in terms of sound and I think this came out alright.
Everything is played live and it's all ad-libbed. No thought behind much of this. Except for the two overdubs it's all recorded live in one take, both the sound as well as the video.

Effects used: Yamaha REV7 'Symphonic' chorus on the Memorymoog as well as a modulated reverb from the Specular Tempus from GFI.
The Jup-8 arpeggiator that runs uninterrupted through the whole track has no effects on it."

video upload by AutomaticGainsay

"Here is a demonstration of the sound and functionality of the second filter type found on the Korg ARP 2600M. This is patterned after the filter that is most typically found on the 'orange and black' ARP 2600."
