EXPERIMENTAL MULTI-EFFECTS
White Rabbit has REVERB and DELAY sound effects. Fall down a rabbit hole with deep sounding spatial effects. You can send your White Rabbit down different paths or take the ERROR door into other spaces. All effected by Y and the big X holding onto time.
White Rabbit is a collaboration between ERROR and TiNRS; connecting their physical and virtual spaces with crazy creativity in object and DSP.
The first switch sends the rabbit down to REVERB or DELAY holes – or sitting in the middle doing nothing.
The second switch choses Standard, Pingpong or Error DELAYS and Hall, Experimental or Error REVERBS.
DELAY
Standard –Shouting down the rabbit hole. X changes time to echo and Y the amount of feedback
Pingpong – Stereo hopping between channels. X determines the airtime of the bounce and Y keeps stacking the signal.
ERROR – Karplus-Strong algorithm plucking your signal. X is the length of the string and Y is the dampening. Set X all the way to the right and connect the output to the input to create a self-oscillating sound that you can control.
REVERB
Hall – Unexpected big space. X is the size and Y the brightness of the space.
Experimental – Cinematic shimmer. Y is pitch bending and X is the size of the space
ERROR – Like sticking your head in a metal bucket. X is the size of the bucket and Y is granular. Set X all the way to the right and connect the output to the input to create a self-oscillating sound that you can control.
The third knob is the Wet / Dry mix. To the left is dry and to the right is wet. Soaking White Rabbit.
All inputs and outputs are stereo.

Eurorack MIDI Teensy 5x5 Interface Merger breakout
video upload by DeftAudio
"A quick overview of DIY MIDI interface kit for Eurorack based on Teensy 4.0 CPU.
Available here: https://www.tindie.com/products/defta..."

"Here is an Eurorack version of the popular Teensy 4.0 controller with 5x5 MIDI interface on TRS-A/B (selectable) ports as well as audio output. This board is designed for Teensy4.0 and it's not compatible with other Teensy products. If you're looking for a similar board for Teensy4.1 or Teensy3.2, please, check other products in my store.
The board provides 5 input / 5 output functionality. This can be your 5x5 MIDI interface, merger, splitter, filter or whatever else you can imagine. This obviously requires programming the Arduino framework with Teensy extensions. I include basic firmware so, you can get USB MIDI running out of the box without any need to learn Arduino.
This TRS version is capable of setting a MIDI specification per port for TRS-A or TRS-B by moving jumper settings. This provides the flexibility to interface it with all vendors no matter the specification used.
You also get one Audio output (stereo) from Teensy Lo-Fi MSQ port. By default it's a sine generator programmed onto USB Port 6 and doesn't interfere with other 5x5 MIDI ports. It can be your clock out, trigger out or some advanced synth. Audio programming for Teensy is also straight forward.
All Teensy pins are available on extra pin headers. This allows easy expansion if you're planning to add extra LEDs, buttons, OLED display, in/outs etc... You can do that without soldering.
Package options:
PCB alone: This includes two PCBs(main and daughter) and aluminum front panel
Complete Electronics kit: Includes PCBs, front panel and all electronic (but Teensy4.0) - TRS connectors, optocouplers, headers, resistors, diodes. Check BOM list by the link.
Teensy microcontroller is not included with any purchase, you can buy it directly from the manufacturer: https://www.pjrc.com/store/
There are several options for providing a power:
From Teensy USB port
To be used with Eurorack 16pin power supply and sourcing 5V from eurorack (JP1 1-2)
To be used with Eurorack 10pin power supply, sourcing 12V from eurorack and doing onboard 5V conversion (JP1 2-3)
Board size and an enclosure choice: Eurorack size: 6HP, PCB Size: 10.8x5.4cm"

NAMM 2023 - Dave Rossum - Sound Semiconductor
video upload by sonicstate
"At NAMM 2023, Sonic State caught up with Dave Rossum, the founder of Sound Semiconductor, to discuss the company's exciting developments. Sound Semiconductor is a development from SSM, a company that designed synthesizer chips for the first Prophets in the early 1970s. SSM went on to produce chips for professional audio and was later acquired by Analog Devices. In 2016, Rossum, along with Marco Alpert and a little bit of seed capital from Universal Audio, started Rossum Electro Music. At NAMM, they met Dan Parks, who used to run SSM, and talked about the idea of resurrecting the classic SSM chips. Six months later, they started Sound Semiconductor, which includes some resurrections of the classic SSM chips and some new ideas.
Rossum explained that the analog chips give instruments their own unique character, which digital processing cannot achieve. Analog chips have variations from unit to unit, and the designer's job is to make those variations as small as possible while allowing those variations to give instruments their own individual character. Analog distortions are also natural, making them more appealing to the ears than digital algorithms that give aliasing, and Dave told us he finds designing analog chips to be more artistic and enjoyable than designing digital ones.

NAMM 2023 - (SOUNDS ONLY) C15 by Nonlinear Labs
video upload by sonicstate
"We've come across the C15 before, and this year Jim Heywood from Earmonkey Music was able to get some time with it to explore some of the sounds from its purely digital sound engine."
NAMM 2023 - (SOUNDS ONLY) 3rd-wave by Groove Synthesis
video upload by sonicstate
"Jim from Earmonkey Music explores the 3rd Wave, a wavetable synth with 24-voice polyphony and 4-part multi-timbral capability."
NAMM 2023 - (SOUNDS ONLY) ASM - Hydrasynth Explorer
video upload by sonicstate
"Jim from Earmonkey Music explores the Ashun Sound Machines' Hydrasynth Explorer at NAMM 2023. It's a wavetable synth, but with a unique implementation of wave morphing. The Hydrasynth offers 219 single-cycle waveforms, including standard analogue waveforms and complex waves arranged in banks of harmonically related content.
The oscillator section is designed to be manipulated to create rich, evolving tones. The modulation sources allow for a wide range of control, from subtle glides to aggressive biting tones, all attached to a unique, small-key, poly-touch keyboard.
Hydrasynth Explorer Price: 499 USD"
NAMM 2023 - (SOUNDS ONLY) NINA from Melbourne Instruments
video upload by sonicstate
"Melbourne Instruments showcased their synthesizer, the 12-voice Nina, at NAMM 2023. and Jim Heywood of Earmonkey Music gave us a delightful exploration of its capabilities.
Nina offers a combination of analogue and digital synthesis, with wave morphing, a four-pole transistor ladder VCF with modulatable resonance, a voice-level filter overdrive and digital wavetable oscillators. Nina's most defining feature, however, are its motorized controls, which are pretty unique. Melbourne Instruments tell us that Nina's encoders are long-lasting and offer the precise feel of analogue pots. The recallable and automatable controls, patch morphing, and powerful mod matrix make Nina an exciting prospect for musicians looking to explore its sonic possibilities.
Nina Price: 3,599 USD"
