The Spectraphon modulated by Shepard Tones!

video upload by MAKEN0ISE

"Hello! It's Pete from the Make Noise Instagram channel, stopping by YouTube this week with a walkthrough of a recent favorite Spectraphon/Spiratone patch!

I know, I know, you're asking yourself WHICH recent favorite Spectraphon/Spiratone patch could he be referring to? There are so many. It's this one: https://www.instagram.com/p/CuHved6N3bP/

The patch was inspired by the functionality of the Buchla 297 Infinite Phase Shifter, and while it is not a recreation of the 297 it uses the module as a jumping off point for sonic exploration.

For more information on the Make Noise Soundhack Spiratone, please check out Walker's excellent overview video from the halcyon days of 2016: [posted here in 2015]

Thanks for watching and happy patching!

Whispers In The Dark

video upload by John L Rice

"Quick test featuring the Squarp Instruments Rample sample playback module after finally getting it to work reliably. (I replaced the memory card and that seems to have resolved the random shutdowns) 👌 #modularsynth #eurorackmodular #electronicmusic #creepymusic"

Hardware Jams Weekend Challenge: Pandemonium

video upload by SynthAddict

"To celebrate the official Pandemonium Day…

Moog Tower of Doom with Alesis Bitrman, Hologram Microcosm, and Lexicon MX-200.
I tried to make an evolving ambient thingy that slowly went off the rails (a-la pandemonium), but I didn’t; quite get there. :-P"

"This listing is for one ultra-rare Roland CPE-800 Compu Editor. This super rare piece is meant to control a rack VCA bank (not included) for automation of audio signals via CV. As you can see it is from the era of the TR-808 and Jupiter-8 with those beautiful tact switches.

The CPE records slider movements so you can lock the recording automation to a sync track. It works fine, it includes the unit itself and the cable originally meant to connect to the VCA unit; one idea would be to build a box to convert this connection into 3.5mm jacks to control all sorts of stuff. Otherwise, if you want to use this like it was originally intended, you'll either need to find one of the original VCA rack unit or DIY something similar."
