Destiny+ Czochralski Cells and 16 Psyche ???

video upload by Petajaja

"a patch utilizing the four oscillators on cells both to generate the rhythm through the pulse network but also the changes in pitch via their sq waves stacked to create an average between them all and then passed through a VCA to tame the range a bit. I then mixed that with the offset from one of the joysticks to also modulate pitch on psyche.

there's a bunch of other unconventional patching techniques being used throughout.. these synths are really great with that in mind and I find them more and more rewarding the more I think outside the box in how I use it's seemingly familiar individual functions."

[Prototype] Arduino UNO R4 synthesizer : modular synth simple VCO

video upload by HAGIWO

"Modular synthesizer VCO. using Arduino uno r4 for technical verification.
Supports V/oct and audio output via built-in DAC.
Since this is a verification circuit, it is not recommended to make a module with this circuit as it is.

Groove Synthesis 3rd Wave - Plucks & Percussion

video upload by Scott McAuley Sounds

"Patches will be available at https://www.orano.co.uk/shop or http://www.synthsounds.co.uk

Nothing better to test the snappiness of envelopes thank to create percussion or (my favourite) "Plucks!"

This Single Patch looped sequence is made up of 4 parts,
Pt.1 - Kick
Pt.2 - Pluck
Pt.3 - Hats
Pt.4 - Modulated Atmos Pad

it really shows the diversity of the 3rd Wave, it can produce vintage to modern with ease."

Testing a new trigger sequencer module - Midiverse - TV

video upload by Midiverse - TV

"What's up everybody? Welcome to Midiverse - TV! In an effort to expand our line up of hands on drum controller modules, we've been working on an eight step trigger sequencer. In this video we test out the module (three of them to be exact), trigger some additional drums/cymbals via the MVM005 Quad Arcade Button Module, and add some visual content via the LZX video synthesizer.

Assembled Modules and DIY kits for the Trigger Sequencer are coming soon, Arcade Button Modules are available now.

Frequency Central feat: Asteroids - exorcise your arcade stylee!

video upload by Frequency Central

"Here’s a quick demo showcasing a few uses for Asteroids.

The Asteroids on the left is allowing audio from Radio Music to pass when button #1 is pressed. Button #2 changes the station of Radio music when pressed.

The Asteroids on the right button #1 is being used to trigger Cosmic Background which is producing electronic percussion sounds. Button #2 is being used to extend Cosmic Background’s release time by applying 5V to it’s release CV input.

The audio in Radio Music is actually snippets from previously uploaded Frequency Central YouTube videos – can you spot which ones? State 700 is just being used as a mixer.

The Gnatophilidae Oxfordii is just there to intrigue. If you’ve read this far please comment 'When will that whacky Gnat module be available please please please?'"

Oberheim OB-X8 Videos by Adam Borseti

video uploads by Adam Borseti

The above playlist features a handful of Oberheim OB-X8 videos by Adam Borseti. Note the first few videos feature the custom OB-Xa style overlay (link below), followed by the stock OB-X style panel.

Playlist:

1. First Day of Summer! (Oberheim OB-X8)
Here's a fun little spur-of-the-moment jam over a song I've been working on. This is the direction I want the song to go in, but I'm probably going to re-record some of it. We'll see. You like the 80s style OB-Xa/OB-8 blue pin stripes for the OB-X8? I do to! They're made of semi-rigid plastic and can be applied or removed in less than 2 minutes with no adhesive. It's really cool to be able to switch between the late 70s OB-X look and the super-1980s OB-Xa and OB-8 look.

Get yours here https://www.synthoverlays.com/product...
2. Random Improv Jam

3. Going places in DOUBLE MODE
Using the SEM filters in lowpass for the bottom layer and a delicious Notch filter on the upper layer pad.
4. OB-X8 - Left Hand Bass Exercises
Laying down bass lines thick and hard with lefty, following the lead of whatever chord righty is holding down. This was all improvised so forgive any chord meandering and weird transitions, mistakes and the like. Is what it is.
5. "Approaching Chaos" - Oberheim OB-X8
All sounds made with the Oberheim OB-X8 run through a Zoom MS-70CDR, with the drums from my Roland TR-626. Enjoy
6. Oberheim OB-X8 - Cinematic improvisation & Double Mode patch
Consider this some filler while I'm working on my next actual song. I'm almost done!
7. "Reflections" - Oberheim OB-X8
A new original tune of mine, the first in a good long while! Less time and more stress have resulted in less creativity haha, but I'm trying over here. :)
8. The Camera Eye - Oberheim OB-X8
I mean, it's THAT sound......

Sequential Prophet 5/10: a Musical Exploration Part 2

video upload by Synth Universe

"Part 2 continues my musical exploration of sounds and timbres on this classic analog synth using custom-created patches. All the sounds you hear in this video were created by me on the Prophet 10 and include pads, keys, bass, poly synth, leads, sines, chimes, strings and FX.

I wanted to retain the raw sound, so in the making of this video no chorus, modulation or thickening effects were used (software or hardware). Note that the Prophet 5/10 has no internal effects. The only effects used were reverb (mainly the Valhalla Vintage Verb plugin) or delay (Logic native delay plugin). No EQ was used to enhance either the low end or the high end.

The Prophet 5/10 has a single mono audio output, so to create a stereo image I used old-school layering in my DAW. When I recorded each audio take, I also captured MIDI data and used this to record new tracks of the original take. Using the Vintage knob on the Prophet set at 3 means that each MIDI take has subtle differences in pitch, envelopes and filter. Panning and slight detuning of the tracks creates, to my ears, a nice rich stereo image and retains the character of the sound.

*If you own a Prophet 5 rev 4 or Prophet 10, all the sounds featured in this video are now available to purchase as part of the Synth Universe Prophet 5/10 rev 4 Soundbank. Follow the link below where you can also watch video demos of all 80 patches.
