"Whats the difference with the Nextel versions? Most Microwave XT versions have that crappy Nextel paint which decays very naughty (gets sticky, flaky, dirty and grey-ish) over time and this can't be fixed anymore. The surface on the edition listed keeps the strong orange colour, has texture and is non-sticky/grease collecting/decaying/falling apart etc. You will end up with something that will never look good anymore. Its just a matter of time.
You can recognise this rare Non-Nextel Microwave easy: it doesn't have the plastic display cover (but green painted elips around the display instead and best of all: it looks super fresh orange, doesn't feel sticky and doesn't peel off just like that. Just compare this one with the other XT's offered.
Also the (on all units) decaying original knobs are replaced for the beautiful Waldorf Q knobs, they look better and don't fall apart over time. So this XT is ready for the future."

Things to Do with the Voltage Lab 2 // Tips Tricks Ideas and Tracks
video upload by Starsky Carr
"It's definitely a lab because experimentation is key. The Voltage Lab 2 encourages you to dig a little deeper every time. Pittsburgh Modular have got this one bang on... the results are stunning.
The oscillators can sounds as grungy as you want. Those harmonics just keep on coming until you're faced with a sonic wall of jagged spikes. The temptation is to go over the top, whereas with most it's hard to get 20% there.
In this I demo some of the more hidden functions and give some ideas to get the most out of it. Like patching the ocillators into each other, or using the function generators to control the LPG essentially giving us a 'standard' VCF. Then there's some hidden stuff in the touch controller, like per step parameter locking using the blue CV channel, or per step chance by setting the chance to 100% and patching chance into the blue channel... now the blue CV is per step chance.
Cool stuff."
Oct Tone, Plasma Voice, Algo and friends
video upload by Molten Music Technology
"I'm working towards my review of the Oct Tone and thought I'd capture this little sequence. It features the Plasma Voice and Algo competing on the melody, plus the Mandrake kick, Crust snare and something of my own fiddling with the effects."
Modded Roland CR-78 - Individual Outputs!
video upload by foleytronics fx repair
"This is a CR-78 we modified to have individual 1/4” TS outputs for each drum sound. It wasn’t as simple as finding where the bass drum is generated and connecting it to a jack because we found the tone of the instrument would change without any buffering. Our solution was to create a buffer board that would isolate and amplify each of the sounds without sacrificing tone.
It’s really fun to use with a mixer - changing levels on the fly, reverb throws, different panning, you name it!
