BBQ Rims by Goldbaby
video upload by GoldbabySamples
BBQ Rims available now: https://www.goldbaby.co.nz/bbqrims.html
"Premium electronic, acoustic and hybrid rim samples.
The electronic rims were created using a range of drum machines, such as 808, 909, Syntakt, Labarynth, MachineDrum, CR-78, LXR-02, Mutant Rim, Tempest, and more.
The acoustic rims were produced by playing on various snares using the cross-stick technique. This involves placing the tip of the drumstick on the head and striking it against the rim of the snare, resulting in a dry, sometimes resonant "click". These were recorded using an SM-57 and a vintage AKG D244e.
Both the acoustic and electronic rims were recorded through the Electrodyne 501 preamp, Fat Bustard II valve mixer, SPL TDx Transient Designer, Silver Bullet MkII, and EL-7 Fatso.
The hybrid rims were created by layering various combinations of electronic and acoustic rims together."
