Roland Juno 2 & Dtronics: King Of The Junos!?
video upload by JimDaneker
"@arcadeorchestra80s Producer & 80s synth nut takes the classic Roland Juno 2 for a spin in the Fortress of Synthetude and throws down a controversial take: the Alpha Junos are the KINGS of the whole Juno series. Yes, even over the Juno 6/60/106."
And the video with TAL-Pha overdubbed:
TAL-Pha intro by Jim Daneker
video upload by TAL Software
"Many thanks to @JimDaneker for making and sharing this video. All sounds from TAL-Pha, except the Hi-Freq Perc.
The sound in this intro video was rendered/played by the TAL-Pha synthesizer plug-in using the original MIDI notes and Sysex data recorded with the Alpha Juno 2 hardware and controller."
Bristronica 24: A Quick Look at Elektron's Syntakt Update
video upload by sonicstate
"At this year's Machina Bristronica, we spoke with Christian from Elektron about a significant OS update for their Syntakt device. The update introduced several new features and machine additions for you to explore creatively. Four new machines, namely the BD Acoustic, SD Acoustic, Psychip, and HH Lab, have been adapted from the Analog Rytm into the Syntakt, expanding its sonic capabilities.
Additionally, the update included new features like page looping, enabling you to loop a specific page within a track, making it more efficient to work with multiple pages. A Euclidean Sequencer was also introduced, allowing intricate rhythmic sequences to be crafted easily."
See the Machina Bristronica label below for additional coverage of the event.
Tom Cat Thru Kaoss Replay (The Cursed Gear)
video upload by HardtekStudios
"Time to check out what the Kaoss Replay can do to a Hardtek Studios classic. I ran the output of the Tom Cat into the mic input to make things easy. No processing was done past the Kaoss Replay."

Korg Modwave | Soundpack "GLOOMY" - Demo 1 | No talking
video upload by xu.sounddesign - dirk rohde
"This is soundpack 'GLOOMY' with 50 ambient patches designed for the Korg Modwave. There are more demos of this cool soundpack.
All in all there are 50 new performances in the package with smoking pads, grainy strings, organic drones and deep textures. No external effects were used in the demos. All effects are internal effects of the Korg Modwave.
No other hardware was used. No compressor, no limiter, no equalizer, nothing, but the pure Modwave.
All patches are fully compatible with the software-version 'Korg Modwave Native VST'.
I designed all the sounds myself. If you´re interested in these 50 sounds, please send me an email (xu.sounddesign@gmx.net). Please check your spam-folder."
The Bob Moog Foundation Fall 2024 Raffle - "No Talking" Demo!
video upload by Pro Synth Network
"We have been very lucky to be involved with helping out on the latest Bob Moog Foundation Raffle. This time, a classic vintage Minimoog Model D, signed by Peter Gabriel and restored by our very own Kent Spong, can be won.
Andrew goes through the gloriously deep, rich and distinctly Moogy tones of this incredibly special raffle prize, signed by the legend that is Peter Gabriel.
There has never been a more important time to support the Foundation. Hurricane Helene tore through Asheville, NC, home of the Moogseum, last month, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. Although it only sustained minor damage, the loss in trade from being unable to open will hit the Foundation hard.
Buying tickets for the raffle is an excellent way to help out with the added bonus of being able to own this singularly unique and iconic synthesizer.
Look out for more video content to be released throughout the raffle!
Buy tickets here: https://moogfoundation.org/fall-2024-...
Be quick! The raffle ends on the 28th October 2024!
Huge thanks to the amazing and inimitable Michelle Moog-Koussa for this opportunity to support an organisation that is very dear to our hearts. Please support her work however you can."
Post-Helene Channel Update from Make Noise
video upload by MAKEN0ISE
"On Sept. 27, 2024, Hurricane Helene ravaged Western North Carolina. We are still without water. Neighbors created flush brigades and set up tanks with non-potable water. Our job descriptions now include picking up spring water bottles for drinking/hand washing and fill buckets with non-potable water for toilets. We are so grateful for all of the folks bringing water into West Asheville, and to our crew for rolling with it.
Our rural neighbors don't have as much access to these resources even though the people are working hard. If you are able to give, consider these groups:

Be Well AVL: / bewellavl
Thanks to Harvest Records who provided Make Noise with electricity and keys to their store when our power was still not on so Tony, Mark, and Meg could work on a new design for 2025. Check their socials for when they reopen 'cuz music is healing. We all need it! https://www.harvest-records.com/
Thanks to Firestorm for feeding so many in the community, and getting people what they needed (gas, groceries, water, etc. etc). Order books when they are open. Pro tip from Kelly-they have an incredible collection of children's books. https://firestorm.coop/
Thanks to the Double Crown and friends for providing medical care to folks in West Asheville, and for offering Make Noise outlets and "whatever we needed." We could all probably use gospel night to heal our souls when they reopen. / the_double_crown
Thanks to Owl Bakery for giving away bread and pastries. When Make Noise moved into our current building in 2015, we had a flourless chocolate cake made by Susannah as part of our opening party. They could use some cash, y'all. Wednesday is a bake day, and they will be giving it away again, but anyone who has some cash or can venmo, please consider it so we can help them reopen. / oldworldlevain
Thanks to Cellarest Brewery and Cassia AVL for being a community spot for information, water, and free food. Make Noise just held a modular meet up there a little over a month ago, and sometimes hang there after work. The non-alcoholic options are as great as the beer options. Plus, thai food!

Thanks to our West Asheville neighbors. You've shared so much. If you had power, you put outlets and cables out so people could keep their phones active. You set out lawn furniture and radios so we could listen to the daily briefings together. You've said hello, how are you? with even more care and compassion. Even though life is hard right now, this is still a beautiful place to live because of y'all."
Buchla & Tiptop Audio 259t Now Shipping
video uploads by Todd Barton
Maybe the BUCHLA & TIPTOP AUDIO system can make TECHNO. Let's see it. Modular synthesis- patch notes
video upload by Flat Round Modular Music
"Here I've tried to make a decent drum kit without dedicated module. And extend sequences to more than the limitation of only five steps."
Check with dealers on the right for availability.

Here comes the beast, Model 259t, and it's now shipping to shops, priced at $529. Preorders open today through our dealers, and we are excited to start shipping them out. A bit of history about this unit: In 1978, Don Buchla invented the 259 Complex Oscillator, an ambitious project that turned out to be one of the best-sounding and most capable analog oscillators ever created for sound design and music. It became a centerpiece of most 200 systems made, and now it is being added to the 200t Eurorack system as well.
At this point, we want to thank the people who helped us create this module, starting with Kurt Kurasaki, who was kind enough to send us samples from his 70s 259 to compare. He also tested prototypes and provided valuable feedback. Special thanks to Ryan Gaston, who helped ensure that all graphic elements on the panel were checked. And of course, Todd Barton, for providing his valuable feedback.
