Move vs Push - Controlling Ableton Live with the Move

video upload by Tum Sun

"Head-to-head comparison of the Move and the Push - who wins (and what do we learn along the way)? Not the Push 3 or the Push 2, but the original Push! Can the very first controller that ‪@Ableton‬ made beat their newest device, the Move? Should you even consider picking up the Move to use as a controller for Ableton Live?"

"The CAT SRM (MK1) synth is a monophonic/duophonic analog synthesizer with two oscillators capable of sawtooth and square waves. The first VCO also has a triangle waveform. very distinctive sounds vs ARP Odyssey/Minimoog/Pro-One. Lot of HUGE bass, leads AND drones due to the particular and clever synthesis architecture you can't obtain on others synths below This piece is in excellent condition, and a real pleasure to play (thx to the KB quality !)"

"This was serviced in March 2024 for the auction, but surprisingly didn't sell. So now a lower start price. This is a lovely early Minimoog, serial number T2901E. Made in Williamsville, probably around 1973. It seems to have had some modifications over the years - for a start having the new oscillator boards installed, judging by the number of trimmer holes. It also had a mystery hole drilled in the front left of the case under the keyboard, which the owner covered with a Minimoog plaque. ***More details now known: our tech thinks quite a lot of the machine has been replaced over the years, so although it is undoubtedly an original machine (not a re-issue!) some of it is not original to the Williamsville manufacturing time - so we've reduced the start price to reflect that. A 70s Minimoog for a start bid of under £3000 ! It plays well and sounds great though.*** Packing 24GBP."

"Moog Voyager Signature Edition No. 416 / 600 Rarely available these days, one of the initial batches of 600 Voyagers, as autographed by Bob Moog. Includes all original documentation and the sturdy box, as well as the Moog-branded Voyager softcase, which I have never opened, let alone used as the synth has always been used at home. Also included is an after-market black Moog cloth cover (there’s even a Voyager-sized polythene bag that Moog sent me in 2005.) The Certificate Of Authenticity is of course included, declaring that Bob personally inspected this particular Voyager. Software version 3.5, 02/02/2010 but otherwise unmodified from the original issue (128 presets as opposed to 896)"
