Red Sound EleVAta - 1.13 final firmware

"Great rare VA with only a few hundred made, even fewer on latest firmware. Ignore the factory presets. Multitimbral, see video for example of its drum synthesis. Hate to see it go.
On the only usable firmware revision, all others are like having 2x Darkstar XPs, but glitchy with low output. You can only get the firmware image from the vendor, then would need to actually burn the chip and install.
The faceplate, like a lot of things from this era, has a coating that wears off, which makes it a bit of a dust magnet. All knobs, buttons, outputs, and joystick fully functional."

"16 tracks with a huge amount of machines to choose from, 808 ish, fm style, physical modeling, rompler ish, raw wave forms, controller tracks that can affect other things—not to mention the ram and rom machines for samples and live sampling manipulation.
I had both this and an octatrack for a while and used this for live sampling because it was way faster and straightforward honestly love the sampling philosophy of this machine."

Erica Synths LXR-02: a noisy experimental jam
video upload by CALUTRON
"The Erica Synths LXR-02 drum synth might be a useful box for techno. But does it deliver in more experimental, weirder territory? Let's have a try.

UNO SYNTH PRO X: A PLAYER'S APPROACH - Carlo Mezzanotte
video upload by carlomezz
"A little journey with a tiny but aggressive analog synth: Uno Synth Pro X by IK Multimedia. With three oscillators, dual filter, three envelopes, two LFOs, analog drive, fm, sync, rm, three stages of digital effects, patch memory and a 64-step sequencer, it offers a great price/performance ratio.
Since most presets and demos seem to be based on sequencing, in making and playing my patches I tried to focus on playability. All original sounds, programmed from scratch. No external effects.
DIY eurorack modular synth | MOD1 Tap tempo clock : Arduino based general-purpose CV/Gate module
video upload by HAGIWO
"This module is an open source general-purpose CV/Gate module based on Arduino nano.
It can be applied to various CV/Gate modules by changing the program.
There are some performance limitations, but it uses general-purpose inexpensive components.
Tap tempo clock : 4-output tap tempo master clock.
Four outputs: 4x fixed output, 1~16x variable output, and two variable 1~/16 division outputs.

Eventide Harmonizer H949 Demo with Roland JX3P + Fender Jaguar + Yamaha PM-1000
video upload by Synth Tailor Electronics
"Here's a wonderful piece of outboard gear restored by our shop...the Eventide Harmonizer H-949 Pitch Shifter. This demo is for Vartan who just purchased this unit.
The gear used on this video was a Roland JX3P Synthesizer, 1984 Fender Jaguar, Yamaha PM-1000, recorded straight into a Focusrite Clarett+ 8 Pre.
Intro 00:00-00:25
JX3P Sequence I: 00:26-05:06
JX3P 2 DCO Sequence : 05:07-05:56
Fender Jaguar Pitch Shifting: 05:57-08:12
Fender Jaguar Pitch/Rainbow Delays: 08:13-09:14
Fender Jaguar II : 09:15-10:10
H949 HOLD Function: 10:11-11:49
History on the H-949:
The Eventide H949 Harmonizer was a pitch-shifting and harmonizing device released in 1979-1984 that was a significant step forward in the development of these technologies:
-De-glitched pitch shifting: The H949 was the first pitch-changing device to analyze audio in real-time and avoid audible glitches.
-MicroPitch: This feature used a proprietary modulation technique to precisely control small pitch shifts.
-Multiple harmonies: The H949 could create up to five simultaneous harmonies using multiple pitch-shifting algorithms.
-Digital display: The H949 had a digital display that made it easier to adjust parameters than its predecessor, the H910.
-Randomized delay: The H949 included a randomized delay feature.
-Reversed delays: The H949 included a reversed delay feature.
-Flanging: The H949 included a flange feature.
-Real-time tuning: The H949's features made real-time tuning possible, which was long before Autotune.
-Double-tracking emulation: The H949's features made double-tracking emulation possible.
This Eventide H-949 was overhauled/restored by our shop here in Columbus, Ohio. Please visit us on our website, if you have a broken Harmonizer, or vintage synthesizer, drum machine, tape machine or other vintage outboard gear.

Machinedrum and Monomachine Miami bass groove #jamuary2025 #petitvictorycollective #elektron
video upload by HANJŌ
"This year I decided to go all-in on the classic Elektron silver boxes for Jamuary.
On this jam the Machinedrum is laying down those punchy, syncopated Miami bass grooves, while the Monomachine is adding some sharp, single-cycle waveform stabs and a thick bass for extra flavor.
I'm keeping things raw and minimal, focusing on sound design directly from the boxes rather than relying on external processing. It’s been fun exploring how far these classics can go with just their internal tools—letting the workflow and quirks of the Elektrons shape the track.
Anyone else diving into old-school gear for Jamuary?"
