Cinematic Ambient w/ Prophet-10, Lyra-8, OP-1 field, norns shield | Ghost Water 2025-03-31 by atnr

"A piece created using the ‪@SequentialLLC‬ Prophet-10, ‪@somasynths‬ Lyra-8, norns shield, and ‪@teenageengineering‬ OP-1 field. Layers of electronic sound occasionally reveal melodies.

On the norns shield, I use DRONECASTER to generate a 283 Hz drone, which is fed into the ‪@ChaseBlissAudio‬ MOOD MK II for reverb and stretch effects.

The Lyra-8 produces sounds between drone and noise by pressing its keys and using feedback from the MOD DELAY.

On the OP-1 field, I perform a synth part with the CWO effect applied.

The Prophet-10 plays a sparse synth pad that mixes in noise oscillators."

"Supercritical Synthesizers have just released the second firmware update for the Redshift 6 and it’s available at our website. The Firmware Update 1.2 brings Clock, LFO clock sync, NRPN support for parameter control, Mod Lock, and also 65 new presets from Gattobus, Starsky Carr, and our team.

Holding shift now enables parameter fine tuning, allowing for much smaller adjustments (you can for example adjust tune by less than a cent)
Double-tap Shift to latch fine tune mode, tap Shift or Esc to unlatch
Parameter steps are now accessed by holding down a knob while turning
Perform page now shows clock status and incoming MIDI
Clarify a bunch of names around the UI
LFO Reset Phase now has steps at 25%, 50% and 75%
DCO Stack & Detune visualization now more accurately reflects what’s happening in the voice
Short grace period after adjusting modulation to prevent accidentally changing the parameter
Keyfollow now also follows pitch bend and portamento (might change behaviour of some presets)
Minor visual tweaks and fixes

"SPV-355 pitch-to-voltage synth in in very good condition. This unit allows you to route a control cv to the filter via the front panel inputs which make for more animated sequences. Decay had been modified to act also as release as on a Moog. Vital for sequencing. Otherwise the sound would stop dead when the sequencer gate ends. Cosmetically very good except for a paint flake at the top of the right rack ear."
