QUAID GIGASLOPE - Envelope, Loop, & Step Modes

video uploads by ALM TV

Playlist:

1. QUAID GIGASLOPE - Envelope Mode
In this video we take a detailed look at the QUAID GIGASLOPE's 'Envelope' mode, building a simple 2 stage envelope, adding a sustain phase to create an ADSR, then increasing the stages to build a larger complex multistage envelope.

The QUAID GIGASLOPE is a four-channel multi-mode modulator, with each channel outputting a variable staged slope that can act as a complex envelope, flexible LFO, or step sequence.

Each slope can contain up to 13 stages, which may be independent or overlap with other stages. Slopes can be triggered or run freely, with both manual and CV control over each stage’s level, duration, and curve. The output range of each slope can be set and optionally quantised to musical scales. Trigger outputs are available at the end of each stage and at the completion of a slope.
2. QUAID GIGASLOPE - Loop Mode
In this video we take a detailed look at the QUAID GIGASLOPE's 'Loop' mode, using it to build unique custom LFOs with up to 13 stages.

3. QUAID GIGASLOPE - Step Mode
In this video we take a detailed look at the QUAID GIGASLOPE's 'Step' mode, using it to create quantised melodic sequences with per step slides.

Yes you can play Angine De Poitrine on a keyboard synth if you really want to

video upload by Frap Tools

"In today's video we'll mess around with the keyboard tracking to make Magnolia play quarter tones as popularized by the polka-dotted duo Angine De Poitrine. The result is really confusing for a keyboard player (as it should be), but it works and it's honestly quite fun!"

TE OP-XY SOFT GLITCHES AND TOUCH DESIGNER NOISE

video upload by keinseier

"Having the luxury of choosing between different tool is so incredible - BUT it makes it hard to divide up the available time!
Because investing time to try and thoroughly learn one thing is incredibly rewarding. How to choose? (This might be relevant even more right after Superbooth 26)
This is some Touchdesigner and some OP-XY."

Morphor ECHON 6 #3 | Winterdagen

video upload by Winterdagen

"Huge congratulations to Morphor for having their ECHON 6 win the Innovation Award from Sonic State during Superbooth last week! It's such a special synth and it fully deserves the recognition ❤️

Time for another patch! For this one I made use of ECHON 6's looping envelopes and I dialed in a lot of movement in the mod matrix. One of the four polyphonic lfos is changing the decay times of the envelopes per voice. The decay times, lfo speeds and lfos that I routed to panning are keytracked, which results in unique rhythms and stereo movement for each voice. Sounds quite complex, but it really is so easy to dial in modulation like this on the super intuitive mod matrix.

Hope you like the patch and the music!"

Doepfer - SuperBooth 26 Demo Patch

video upload by Stromkult

"This patch is built around the A-128 Fixed Filter Bank, one of our classic designs. The filter bank is pinged by a short burst of noise shaped by the new A-142-5(1U) Dual Decay/LFO. Sometimes this module also receives a gate at the Voltage Controlled Loop input, which creates ratcheting-like sounds. The noise also runs through a bandpass filter, with the cutoff being modulated.

To get these sounds on the Fixed Filter Bank, feedback is essential. The short-noise input goes into a mixer, then from the mixer to the filter bank. The output of the filter bank goes into a multiplier; one path goes to the camera, while the other is amplified with the A-119-2 and returned to the mixer with inverted phase. And the whole thing is split and also runs through a BBD, which is why it has a bit of noise."
