Simsynth Live | Subtractive Synthesizer

YouTube Published on May 2, 2012 by imageline

"MiniMoog meets Oberheim

SimSynth Live captures the big multi-oscillator sound of a MiniMoog, and combines it with the warm, fat sound of Oberheim style SVF filters.

The result? Rich strings, wall to wall brass, and fat punchy basses. And we haven't forgotten techno sounds either. SimSynth Live uses a filter technique that gives the EMPH knob a sound you can crank."

The DS-8 was originally designed by Coron in the 80′s to be mounted on to a drum to in order to produce synth percussion sounds. Similar to the DS-7, which contained a VCO +VCA chain. The LFO modulated the VCO and the decay envelope is triggered by a piezz0 cell. The Decay Pot is really a release and the VCA is controlled by the LFO. The DS-8 added a colored noise generator with a balance pot, which allows more hi-hat and snare "sounds" to be achieved. This PCB is MADE IN THE USA and up to Synthrotek's fine specs. PC Board measures 5 & 5/8ths X 2 & 5/8ths inches. The Pots can be through-hole mounted, for an easy build. Kit includes everything you need to build this radical drum synth. Pop it in the case of your choice and you are ready to rip!"

"Most famouly used by E.L.O (Electric Light Orchestra), Italy's "SLM Spectrum" analog string synth.

This one has been serviced by Adventures in Analog in SW Washinton State and has been custom modified as a purely string synth with vintage looking wood panels.

Great alternative to the ARP SE-1 / Solina / String ensemble. Same great analog string synth sound, for a fraction of the price

Very little info on this synth and the company is available online. From what I understand it was made by the same company the Welson String Synth.

Obviously VERY RARE and sounds SUPER COOL!

Individual controls are:
Cello On/Off
Violin On/Off
Cello Volume
Violin Volume
Sustain & Decay Envelope
Stereo and Mono Outputs"

Corsynth C102 VC LFO - New waveforms using self-modulation technique

Corsynth C102 Demo 2 : New waveforms using self-modulation technique.

This video shows how to get new waveforms from the C102 VC LFO using self-modulation technique.

Corsynth is a company from the Northwest of Spain dedicated to manufacture modules for analogue modular synthesizers in Moog format ( MU )

The C102 VC LFO is a voltage controlled low frequency oscillator with five waveforms available simultaneously.

With three frequency ranges ( L, M, H ) the VC LFO can oscillate from 7 minutes per cycle up to 800 Hz. Using the FM MOD input this range can be extended from 12 minutes per cycle up to 1,3 KHz. With this wide frequency range, the LFO can be used to produce really slow and subtle modulations and audio frequency modulation (FM sounds).

Another important feature is that the oscillation frequency can be voltage controlled using the FM input. You can modulate the frequency with an envelope, other LFO , sequencer etc. Using the FM input, it's also possible to create new waveforms like hyperbolic sine wave, hyperbolic cosine wave and more. Just connect one of the VC-LFO outputs to its own FM input and turn up the FM level potentiometer.

Also the C102 VC LFO has a Sync / Reset input. Every time a trigger signal is detected, the LFO will restart the waveform to the beginning of its cycle.
